Yes, they do. Have to get a voucher from the kiosk I think and have a players card.

From the Las Vegas Advisor website, a long time entry on their Top Ten list:

    #1 Ellis Island Off Strip
    $7.99 Steak Dinner 24 hours $7.99
The Ellis Island steak dinner (#1) is served in the Café and requires that you print out two coupons from an EI kiosk, the second after playing at least $5 in any slot machine with your club card inserted, to get the $7.99 price.

I've lost track of how many times I've had this. It's always been good. Enjoy!

They also have $6.99 steak and eggs from 11p.m to 11a.m no play needed. Comes with toast, eggs and really good potatoes. I probably eat it once a week.

I don't think so. The steak is far from awful. I think it's very good and so far everyone I've taken there agrees. never had one full of fat and veins. Like anything food related your results my vary. I think the dinner steak is bigger. The one with eggs is decent size and I'm a big guy. I find all the food at Ellis good especially breakfast. I ordered a salad once and the size of it was ridiculous, could have easily been a salad you split with dinner for 4. Best value close to strip IMHO. I once got cheap steak special at the Cal couldn't even eat it it looked white like a pork chop never again. Ellis I keep going back. I live in Vegas.

I believe the breakfast steak is a NY strip. It's always been good when we have had it.

You can also switch the breakfast potatoes for regular fries if you prefer.

I prefer the steak and eggs special to the steak dinner special these days. Yes, the breakfast one is thinner and with possibly a bit more "marbling" but the past couple times, our dinner steak has been very tough. We have been going for over 30 years and have the special every time but have been disappointed the past couple times. Will try again next month!!.......lol

The steak special & the steak & eggs special have about the same type & size steak....in many, many years of going to EL for the steak special....only once was it bad - which happened to be the time I took a group of 6, one being my boss from home who was in LV for a convention & I had raved about the little locals place....but all other trips have been very good.

They do. The deal has somewhat eroded over time, but is still good.

It was once just ask for it, 7.99 for soup/salad, steak, potato, beans and roll plus a beer.

Now it is print a voucher (have to have card) for 9.99, or play $5 coin in and print a voucher for 7.99, and the special no longer includes a beer.

And can't be certain, but I believe they reduced their serving size on the steak over the last few years. Still a decent deal.

Is there still sometimes karaoke? I used to time my steak dinner to stay away from that musical discordancy pouring out of the next room. I always was afraid the steak would get up and clomp back into the kitchen wearing perhaps some curdled juices. It is bad enough to be eaten without the accompanying torture.
I would also recommend to go at odd hours if you can eat off regular schedule. Fewer crowds.
American Casino Guide has a coupon, which with $5 freeplay offers a free T shirt. So, planned right you would have steak and be dressed for dinner in a new shirt, just for playing $5

This is true except that you can also get a voucher for a free beer which makes it essentially the same special. I can't remember the requirement for the beer voucher. It might be an additional $5 through the machine. Check with the players club and they can tell you. There is also I believe a voucher you can get for the discounted BBQ as well which is served in the other restaurant next to the cafe. We did the beer (root beer actually) and steak special back in August.

Didnt know that, mostly because since they took away the beer from the special I've had LVA 3 free rounds coupons to fill in the gap

There used to be a great steak place in the back of the Barbary Coast (I think it was there until the remodel of the Cromwell). Fantastic prime rib, baked potato, vegetables and a glass of wine for 12.99 IIRC. Used to go there all the time when it was still open.

The Victorian Room.....late nite steak & eggs special for about $7.99 - often big crowds & a wait line....Wish it was still there.
