While I have had some of those high heart beating type dreams it has been quite a few years sine one has occurred. Seems like they occurred during my late teens and twenties.

I used to sleep on my stomach and would have almost nightly and really weird dreams and at some point I would always wake up and have to go pee. Probably some sort of kidney-bladder connection. About 5 years ago I had to learn to sleep on my side due to neck issues. The weird “pee” dreams have almost stopped entirely but I still have to get up to pee, I just don’t dream about it first. Or maybe I just don’t remember the dreams like I used to.

I used to have dreams, but they are extremely rare anymore. I don't miss them. Every couple of months I'll have one about work, but, it's just like I'm working and nothing is weird about it.

I learned a couple of years ago I feel my best on 6 hours of good sleep. I just get too damn sore laying in bed. So now I don't go to bed until I'm literally falling asleep. I'm talking deep yawns and eyes closing. Sometimes that's 10 pm, sometimes it's 2 am, usually it's around midnight. I don't set an alarm, I just wake up when I wake up with the rule that if it is after 5 AM I get up and start the day. My dreams basically ended when I started doing this. So if you don't want to dream, try making yourself fully exhausted everyday before you even think about going to sleep lol.

When coming across table games in my dream they’re always at weird minimums. Like one side of the Craps table is $3 but the other side is $18.

Barring the details on playing, this is a recurring theme of mine. Blah. Also occasionally missing a return flight with it.

If I have "good" dreams, I usually wake up before the fun part hits.

I've had nightmares, night terrors, that feeling you're falling, stuff like that my whole life. Until I was about 25 I was bad for sleepwalking. Not as bad as my cousin who would escape the house and do his paper route on his bicycle...with no papers, in his pj's, in all weather... But, I did some weird stuff like one time I turned on every single light in the house (microwave door propped open, oven light, fridge door open etc) and was sitting in the middle of the dining room table in a cross legged meditation pose. Another time I had every door and drawer open and had the front door open (in winter), dragged a chair over by the front door and said I was waiting for somebody. Another time I was screaming and chasing something. I'm sure my parents were so glad they had me.

Now it's pretty much restricted to the nightmares. Sometimes it's medication related. I was on a new med and had a dream where I was in another dimension. I was very wealthy and having a party at my home with a personal assistant trailing me and talking to me. I'd ask like, is this my house? They'd say yes. And it went on like that until one of the guests was a famous gorgeous man, in his prime and INTO ME but I get talking to him and he's dumb as a post. I asked my assistant and she says "Oh yes, in THIS DIMENSION..." I'm like hang on...this dimension? This is my house in this dimension? Oh yes, in this dimension. So I said oh stop, this is a bit much for me, I can't be visiting other dimensions. I woke up and I never had another dream like that again.

The nightmares seem to happen more when there's stressful stuff going on in my life. I'm pretty open minded and spiritual. There are so many theories as to what our dreams are. Some are very based in the physical and range up to the very meta physical. If you do some googling you can look into some different methods that teach you how to "control" your dreams when they start to go sideways. There's different prayers or meditations you can do before you go to sleep. Stuff like that.

Imagine waking up and a gray was standing next to your bed staring at you.

I would be totally freaked out.

I've had bad dreams. Sometimes I'm running from someone. Out of breath and struggling to get away until I finally wake up breathing heavily and gasping for air. Hmmm, maybe my CPAP tubes weren't giving me enough air. Once or twice I've had horror dreams with lots of blood and body parts all around. No, I didn't have that dream the night after my colonoscopy, lol. I've had Dirty Harry/Die Hard types of dreams where I'm kicking ass. Also had some nice dreams (about girls) that I wake up with a smile on my face. Was in a good mood all day when I had those dreams, lol.

I always have one vegas dream after I get home. In my dream I'm still in vegas but all my stuff from home is in vegas and I'm wondering/worried how I'm ever going to bring everything back home again. In my dream I see all my stuff from home in my hotel room, worried that I have to check out and how am I ever going to get my stuff out of the hotel room and back home.

Sex dreams, never had a dream where I was in the act (rats). Also don't remember if/when I had a "wet" dream. You know what I'm talking about. But yes, sometimes I wake up horny after a nice dream.

It means that you care about your child and are concerned for them. My guess is she is going through a life change like leaving the house or graduating college or some thing like that.

Your job is to be the protector of your kids so if she branches out, your natural response will be to protect her.

your dreams means that you love your daughter and care for her and are scared for her journey. it also says that you are by her side and know that it is a trip she needs to take without you.

This explains my situation, too. I have almost no stress in my life and I don't go to sleep unless I'm really tired. I don't use an alarm clock so my sleeps are always complete. This leads me to not dreaming anymore. I pass out within a minute or two of my head hitting the pillow and my next recollection is waking up.

I describe many of my dreams as sitcom episodes starring those around me.

I hear those darn alarms too! A couple weeks ago someone rang our doorbell at 4 in the morning. I got out of bed to peak through the blinds and hubs says he heard nothing. I stood there for 5 minutes convinced I heard someone at our door.

The worst was when like you, I heard my alarm clock go off. I got up, had coffee, showered and did my hair, listened to the news (and time mentioned) on the radio and finally realized what time it was when I opened the front door to leave and saw it was still dark out. I'm a be on time freak too so maybe that has some meaning...

Hi @Happygirl21 i hope you have better dreams now :) I know this may not answer to your question but I heard when you are tired & stressed out it will come out thru your dream meaning you will have nightmares etc. I don’t know if it’s true or proven but seems like make bit of sense - I say it since you work midnights at hospital which gotta be tiring and stressful. Hopefully you will find some answers

Casino dreams. Every few weeks my dreams visit a casino that doesn't exist except in my dreams. The casino is mostly a conglomeration of casinos I've visited in my past and usually involves walking to meet someone.

The dream often includes walking in the alley behind Harrah's Reno, then up some stairs through a secreted bar, then down again into another casino where I've never been. Often I'm taking a shortcut at the mezzanine area of the old Tropicana via the ramp that exits near the showroom where The Folies Bergère ran. My spacious casino floor exists nowhere else except in my dreams, but it's not the point of my dream, walking and sightseeing seems to be the point. However, I am often nervous that I'll be late meeting whomever it is that I'm trying to visit.

But if you never have dreams, they can never come true! :)
