Prior to March we drank coffee every morning at a breakfast cafe.
Since March the 2 of us have been consuming over 40 K-Cups per week!
We have it delivered from Sam's Club. We've already wore out 1 Keurig Machine haha!

Looking forward to this thread. I think passion and preference for one’s coffee follows that of Pizza and Burgers.

I enjoy several cups in the morning, no cream, sugar, cinnamon, chicory, syrups. I pick up a big can of Folgers for about $9 at Costco and use a cone mesh filter, no paper. It works out to around $.04 per cup. We all have choices and there’s no accounting for taste, so whatever floats your boat, go for it.

I’m not a fan of K Cups due to the single use packaging waste plus the cost per cup. @DaiLun nails it though, it’s a great way to have the convenience of the K Cup at a fraction of the price, plus you’re not landfilling all that plastic single use packaging. Yes, the material is recyclable, but that doesn’t mean it’s being recycled.

We use a non-Keurig refillable system, as well. Way smaller footprint, much less cost, and we have absolute discretion over the beans we get.

I typically make a half a pot in the morning and that's plenty for me. I also have a single use for my brother's decaf. I have refillables for that one. If I use one for myself, I really have to pack the coffee in or it's just too weak for my taste.

We (wife and I) will drink just about any coffee. Black and hot is all that matters.

Switched to K-cup last year and love it. She makes one cup...then I use the same pod for another. I do not like it as strong, so it works well.

Sams/Costco run them on sale often to keep cost down. Sometimes on Amazon. Anyone buying a new Keurig - check the coupons inside for some sweet deals on first pod purchase through them (too expensive otherwise).

I have a regular drip coffee maker, a Moka pot, French press, and the equipment to make Turkish, Vietnamese, and Arabic coffee. Yum!

I go through a pot a day (10 cups) 2-3 cups in the morning and the rest goes in my Yeti and sometimes will stop for a cup at lunch time. We have a couple of good coffee roasters in the area and I generally buy their coffee beans and grind fresh each morning. When we have guests I generally "slum it" with Starbucks Veranda and Verona to make a 'Black and Tan' blend of beans.

My friends have a coffee farm on the Big Island. Ok, pretty common if you live in Kona. Now that we’ve had to move to the big city of Honolulu I have it sent. Sooo addicted.... it’s good to have a supplier!

We also use a French press, mostly on weekends or (back) when we host(ed) brunches.

The whole work from home thing has some doing more regular drip coffee over K cups more than ever. While you can get more variety out of k cups, cost won out. I’ve perfected the exact amount to brew each morning if it’s just me. I order ever couple of months from a roaster back in Louisiana.

Exactly the ones I use. I bought them for work and then brought the extras home in March and then bought a Keurig Duo plus when I broke my regular pot.

Fresh beans from a roaster place in Austin (Anderson’s) just down from original Kirby lane cafe. A bit more expensive but satisfying to grind beans prior to exposing their grounds to bubbly water.
I go with cream or Bailey’s and wife is a strictly straight up drinker.....I don’t know where unsent wrong.
We dump grounds and filter (brown paper) into the compost pile and turn.

42 French k cups per week /2. Delicious. My palate isn’t sophisticated enough for anything but scotch.

I use the insert in my home Keurig so I can use my own coffee. We have a fancy Keurig at work that my insert won’t fit in. @DaiLun I’m wondering if those you show might work in the big Keurig.....I’ll have to check the specifications on those purple ones. I hate all the waste with the k-cups.

While the food has gone downhill quite a lot at Hugo’s Cellar, the Kona coffee and that weird coffee maker they use on the table have not. upload_2020-10-30_21-10-4.jpeg
