Big D (Hotel and Casino) Energy: June 16-20

Ran into @eliza as I leaving my room to go to Pizza Rock, playing at Vue as expected @NittyOne ran by me while I was grinding the 8/5 BP at Golden Gate, asked if I was @Tarpie said nope I’m the other big dood grinding VP downtown this weekend Always nice to meet VMB folk, we tend to be good friendly people and Nitty was no exception And if all goes according to plan all the people listed here plus me, @Philonous815 and a couple +1s will be dining at 8 East (the restaurant at CIRCA (lol why did I say D ), thankfully not the freeway in my home town that can be a s**tshow ) in t-minus 9 hours and 52 minutes

 

I'm sure you know this, but 8 east is at circa. See you in about an hour!

First quad at Binion’s, 1646 points in oh well I guess this side of variance has to visit me at some point

Had a bit of a turnaround at Binion’s - ended up with three quads, including Aces which did not get photographed (like a Unicow, the catching is the important part, not necessarily the seeing ):




The lunch yesterday at 8 East was great, and the company even better Had the Ginger Chicken Dumplings and Brisket Fried Rice; the latter was the standout but both were very good




Ended the day up $1160 at Circa (after all those quads I hit a cold streak at the end, but c’est la vie ) and down by only $60 at Binion’s ($400 FP and $50 cash back helped that ), so another up day Now breakfast at Magnolia’s awaits… complete with English muffin, which may or may not be of interest to @bubbakitty and @Ty

 

First (non-wild) quad of the day, 1200 points in… lol yay variance? (Well there was a wild Royal on the deuces progressive so it’s not like everything’s gone to **** )

Lost about $100 today at 4Q; I probably would have been up by a bit if I didn’t try to play Deuces at the bar… thing is that there is *one* machine with 9/6 JOB that has adjustable speed and sound where the buttons work as intended and if that machine is taken or somebody starts smoking right by me or being obnoxious - yeah Oddly enough Joker Poker was probably the better play on bartops with the progressive Royal being quite high but I only made a strategy card for Deuces (I don’t like Double Bonus, especially when it’s only 9/7 ). I probably should start practicing to get proficient with more games but seriously why can’t they just make more of the JOB machines work Deuces is a *much* different animal after playing full-pay JOB all the time Oh well… I still enjoyed myself overall, and lessons learned for next time

 

UPDATE: The brownie was found, and it was delicious
