    Bavette's (Park MGM). 16 oz. bone-in filet
Old Homestead (Caesars Palace) - same cut. A close second

Probably Bob Taylors Ranch House. It puts the ala-carte absentee celebrity chef places to shame.

Also Gallaghers, recently, Ruth's Chris (yes, yes, I know it's a chain, but it was good) and Golden Steer.

I know I'll think of more just as soon as I hit POST.

Any steak I've had at CUT has always been superb.

Rib-cap @ GR Steak is excellent.

Bone-in Ribeye @ SW was amazing.

The bone-in 16 oz NY Strip with some zip sauce on the side at Andiamo Steakhouse in The D is my favorite. The bone-in NY Strip at Gallagher's is a close second.

I adore the rib eye with Bearnaise sauce at MAG.

When I order a steak, I want to taste the steak, not some fancy sauce or vegetable or crab meat or whatever.

Downtown I would recommend Vic and Anthony's at the Golden Nugget and Binion's Steakhouse.
The Silverado Steakhouse at South Point is another winner.

But dining is such a subjective experience...

This! Far too many times they get away using their second-tier cuts by overseasoning or masking or diluting the flavor with other items. A good steak requires little if any sauce.

Craftsteak or Charlie Palmer, the Palm or Delmonico. I'm a USDA Prime, strip loin, rare kind of guy. I don't get Wagyu -- domestic or Japanese -- or medium ribs or medium-well filets or what not, so if that's your idea of steak my recommendation is for naught though good steakeries should have the ability to bring it across breeds and cuts.

"Sauce" is like doneness -- cut, breed, preparation technique -- where one person's Nirvana is another person's fingers-on-the-chalkboard.

Gordon Ramsay Rib Cap. I went with my brother and I suggested the Rib Cap and he said it's the best steak he ever had. A few months later I suggested it to a couple of my friends they said the same thing. IMG_3083.JPG

A tomahawk ribeye suggested by our waiter Jerry, at The Range Steakhouse in Harrah's, Las Vegas. About 2012 or so.
We first thought he might be trying to upsell us but turns out the man was old-school awesome, friendly and knowledgeable as a server.
Primo guy. Knew his stuff and our dining experience was the better for it.
That steak was seasoned perfectly with a fantastic sear on the outside, medium rare on the inside. Absolutely delicious. :feedme:
Thanks for the recommendation Jerry, wherever you are.
