    These two robbery guys are truly stupid. It's impossible for them to cash in any of the stolen chips, even if they successfully took the chips and escaped from Bellagio.

    This happened a couple years ago, dude got into a cab if I remember right? And another time it happened and guy got away on a motorcycle and they both got nailed trying to cash the chips in.

    people don't realize that big chips have absolutely no value. they only have value for the individual that won or bought them. they would have been much better off trying to steal stacks of yellow chips.

    actually the article said that they had a big gambler that would funnel the chips back into the system. the 2 crooks would get a cut of the chip amount and the gambler would reap the benefits when he goes to gamble at the bellagio.

    I thought at places like Bellagio, they could track the chips individually, and simply invalidate ones which were stolen.
