    My Trip Report

Hey guys, I took another trip to AC and figured I'd share one. Since my normal business (live casino parties) doesnt exist now, I've been enjoying trips to AC basically weekly since July.

This stay I had a comped room at the Ocean, pro tip, if you like a sunrise, ask for an odd numbered room, it's a great view.

First I started for lunch at Tony Baloney's a great local pizza shop on oriental ave, right behind the ocean. They have awesome pizza, wings and sandwiches. I highly recommend.

I had the A dios mio mac and cheese pie and the magic shroom ( 4.5 yums .dem' some good jawns)... really on point. try their burrata pie and sesame wings. https://www.tonyboloneys.com/ 119160290_2075628029248951_4783069660337892218_o.jpg

Played for a while in the video poker salt mines, STP JOB and DWB, won 214 the first night, dinner was from white house subs the hard rock. White house subs are another classic. you go can go to the OG store in the city, or their stand (operated by them, not casino employees) inside the hardrock on the way to self parking. The roll makes the sandwich...and if you are looking for an authentic cheesesteak while in AC, this is a good spot.

    Day 2,

Woke up to the sun over the ocean, beautiful with the even with the haze from the fires... 119566279_2077428199068934_4047466154736248455_o.jpg
Had a comp voucher for breakfast at the HR, blueberry pancakes (3 forks) walked the boards and went on a freeplay run to harrahs, made diamond elite (woo hoo) but lost 260 along the way. Had lunch at the diamond lounge in the luxurious, spacious, porte cochere. (sounds sooooo much better than parking garage) Cool thing is with the diamond elite I get 600 airfare this year and next for vegas. Booked caesars already (note countdown timer) and first class airfare....BALLIN!

Chilaxed and had a cigar by the bay, Brickhouse Mighty Mighty Maduro, strong and not overly complex, (3.5 puffs) 119598931_2076884792456608_7020668943245523901_o.jpg

Came back to ocean, and stuff went off the rails.... lost 500 on hot hot super jackpot double easy money, couldnt hit a bonus. Then went to HL and lost $500 on $5 double top dollar... Then on tilt, the $25 WOF called to me, I heeded the call and this was the result. IMG_20200915_222649016.jpg

$2500..... holla at your boy!!!!!! So all told for the day up 1040 and 1200 for the trip

Day 3... Took a long walk down the beach from ocean all the way to ventnor city, then walked through the closed Showboat (now just a hotel, with an empty, and I mean Empty casino floor.... carpet, cashier signs, all there, just no casino, it's weird.
    118073289_2050486868429734_5080728892590729098_o.jpg
, had an impossible burger at HRC, (3 meatfree forks) lost 200 DWDDB .50, face up paigow beat me up for $400, got back $100 on deuces another 35 on HHSJP, then had a couple good shoes of spanish 21 for a $200 profit. Had a bianca pizza from Roccos at the Ocean (3.5 fugghaboutits) Day down about 300 and up about 930 for the truip

Checkout day, hit freeplay at harrahs, made $55 bucks, turned on Lyft on the way home and hustled another 40.

So a week of fun.....plus $1000. Thanks for tuning in, I am always available to answer questions about AC, it's a happy place for me an hold a special spot in my heart.

About Diamond Elite. I am currently Diamond Plus. I will make Diamond Elite before the end of this year. Do I get the $600 airfare this year AND next year?

Great report, love the big hit on WOF. Especially liked your mix of local and casino food options. Big fan of Tony Baloney’s, I had a couple slices for lunch and skipped dinner, they are huge. Rocco’s pizza is also pretty solid. Walking 6 miles round trip to Ventnor and back is one way of working off those slices.

Thanks, the Sacko subs at Bally's also offers good local food, and you have Gilchrist at the trop, White house at the Taj (can't help it) is just like arctic ave. That is one thing AC has gotten right, we arent always tied down to casino options.

Can't tell you how many tourist are scared to walk that half block to Tony Baloney's though..... It's in sight of the boards for God's sake, some people need to have some faith in humanity. I tell them to Doordash it, lol

Were the rooms at the Ocean clean? Latest TripAdvisor reviews are troubling- seems like a combo of not enough cleaning staff and a different kind of clientele given they have been comping rooms left and right

Have you made it to Borgata recently? Wondering what your thoughts are there as of late.

Congrats on your big WOF hit!

I read that Sack-O-Subs owners as well as Pete’s Deli owners in Egg Harbor Twp. were ex-White House employees. As for Tony Baloney’s, they are now selling taco pie slices, it’s their signature pizza, never had it. I would make the walk from Ocean, but it’s kind of desolate for the uninitiated.

Re the ocean cleanliness.... 8.5/10 not perfect, but not bad at all... and yes, everyone's clientele took it down a notch...(they let me in!)

Re sacko...I believe you are correct. The key to walking to Tony's is to walk on the boardwalk to their block, then walk straight to oriental, most everyone should feel safe doing that during daylight

Oh... and I have not been to the borgata in years...... (and they just sent me a comp offer...digging deep lol)

For me, the CET properties have always been "the wife", I always be sure to keep her happy.

I have passing flings with all the other companies, teasing them with some action, sucking up the comps, and then they toss me aside like a scorn lover. (hard rock and ocean have just scorned me) But due to the beauty of algorhythms, in 6 months they will start to forget, and in two years you can take a fresh swing. Having a "side piece" casino company is nice, as you can go and not feel soooo obligated to put in your time, but you have to be ready for the scorn!

I think my next affair will be with Resorts, I was so young and inexperienced when we first met...I was awkward, maybe she'll give me another shot!

I think we all rescheduled it for Oct 16th, but I'll have to check the other AC thread to confirm (it's a long running one in a Non Vegas subforum).

A group of guys are going to AC for the first time, and we narrowed it down to Borgata, Hard Rock & Ocean. Would like to have stuff to do / see not involving gambling for a decent chunk of the trip. Thoughts? Maybe consider another casino hotel?
