Ardee's "Smile kid, you're in Vegas" Trip---Cosmopolitan 7/18 & 7/19

Before the crazy thunderstorms over the strip...which made excellent entertainment mind you,
We ordered some food for the room.
A burger, some wings, Secret Pizza and veggies because we aren't total heathens. Only mostly.
Need a couple of beers with that? Yes, please.

 

Just a couple more slot pics with a suggestion for a VMB motto and then I'll defer to my other half.

Of course, I had to get Wonka in there, @MikeOPensacola.

 

Something that caught my hubster's eye in the gift shop at Cosmopolitan seems to sum
up the VMB to us and the fun members we enjoy spending time with. Thank you @Sonya and crew!
Just had to take it home with us, of course.

Is that a $300 win I see on a $1 wager? Either way, nice going. BTW, I forgot to look the other night, but does Cosmo still have the 3 wheel Wonka?

 

Yes, Mike. Caught it on a good cycle. Cashed out quick and then put in another hundred for the other win.
I need to step up the sequence and timing for photos of hits but Wonka was being good to me.

Edited to add: I'm not sure 3 reel Wonka is still there. I walked that way and don't recall seeing it. I know the Flintstones 3 reel is gone and that made me a bit sad.

 

Glad Willy was in a charitable mood. He was good to me as well. Seeing your pics reminds me how much I like those bonuses with the three Wonka spaceships are. Love the Boom, Boom, Boom. Those Veruga Salt Good Egg/Bad Egg were horrible for me. Only got to the third egg once, usually only one egg before Bad Egg would pop up.

Jeeze, $300 on $1; nice hit!!!!!!

 

Veruca is my least favorite of all the Wonka characters so I call her the b name every time she shows up.
I feel I win when that happens because she's a bad egg .

 

That room service burger looks fake to me, was it any good?

 

Husband says it was tasty and glad they didn't top it with one of those disintegrating brioche buns. They even toasted it.

 

I thought I played the 3 reel wonka in the blvd section of the casino earlier in July.

 

Every time I see a TR of someone staying at Cosmo I get more interested! I definitely need to put in some play there on my trip to try and get an offer. Great TR. And looks like you had a wonderful time!

Did that time fly as quickly for you guys as it did for me? I was really enjoying it and poof, you are home. . Thanks for the ride, even if it was just around the block. Happy to see the kitties coughed up more than a hairball for you!

Hubster summative: For a "We've got to get out of town for a couple of days before we go postal" trip, not bad at all.
Decent room service. Light show. Excellent company.

Random observations:
1. The lanyards were all software geeks, so the CWs were probably over-worked and under-tipped this week. No proof, just a hunch.
2. At least Cosmo hasn't jumped on the brioche bun bandwagon. Whoever thought that one up must, if not die, be tortured some. Maybe made to listen to Celine Dion for a few decades.
3. Cosmo also doesn't get weird with the condiments. Good old Heinz for everything.
4. Advice for people who are planning room service - bring minis and your own condiment packets if you like strange stuff. Next time I'm packing relish and 1000 Island packets, because that's how I roll with a burger and they don't have that stuff at room service. The minis are to augment the Bloodies and the juice. Because.
5. Really liked the Animal House machine. Great music, great clips, lots of random bonuses awarded.
6. Ditto the Buffy slot. It was kind of embarrassing that I could instantly ID every clip, background scene and sound bite by season and episode.
7. I'm a bit older and my wife is more than a trophy.
8. Just kidding. We are pretty much Sherman and Megan.

 

I never get tired of the ard 1/2 of @ardee ’s anti-brioche rants! (Don’t get me wrong, I agree 100% - nothing worse than having to choose between greasy, slimy hands all night and having to turn in your man card for eating a burger with utensils!)

Oh my gosh I ADORE this. Cosmo is by far my favorite, and always reminded me a bit of Alice in Wonderland...down the rabbit hole. I love that they're now officially embracing it.

I now officially have Vegasitis. I don't buy souvenirs, but I NEED one of those.
