We're in Houston!! First 10 hours of flying are done, the next flight is in 3 hours.
I want to be in Vegas already!!

 

Hope you were able to get some sleep on the flight to Houston. Really looking forward to seeing what you think of Bryce. Continued safe travels and Good Luck!

Unfortunately: 0 minutes of sleep. I just can't sleep on the way to Vegas. I'm too excited!

 

This first day is very very boring, I'm sorry!!



Our suitcases, packed and ready to go!



This was our plane, AMS-IAH. My wife and I were in economy (tickets were only €380, or $450 roundtrip, so we can't complain!), and next to us was a really nice girl in her twenties on her first solo flight and her first visit to the states to visit family.



Even though she was very nice and there were enough movies to watch, 10 hours on a plane is a long time!

Okay, one more hour of waiting and... boarding our flight to Vegas (bitches!!!!).

 

I forgot!



I made myself some really tacky, glittery nails with duochrome stars: for good luck! :')

 

Really quick update:

After 25 hours of travelling we arrived at Aliante!! Whoohoo!!!

We wanted to take a quick shower, eat something and gamble a little before going to bed. That shower was a very quick one: there was no warm water?! We didn't even call to get someone to fix it, we were too tired to deal with it (I didn't sleep a single minute on the plane). We'll get it fixed tomorrow.

After a cold shower we went downstairs for our Vegas tradition: a miller lite and a buffalo slot. We then figured out we didn't have anything to eat for 8 or 9 hours so we went to Johnny Rocket's for a burger: delicious!!!

We slotted around for another hour or so (didn't lose much, around $100) and by that time I felt like the whole casino floor was buzzing or shaking, like an earthquake. Of course it wasn't, of was just me. Too tired to stay on my feet!

We've been up for 29 hours now and we went back to the room. Time for some much needed sleep!

Glad to hear that you made it there safely. After a full day of airports and airplanes, then customs, picking up the rental car and finally driving to the hotel, exhaustion is the only possible result. At least the crash should help you reset the body clock for the rest of the trip.

We've slept for 4-5 hours and are wide awake now at 6.45 am. WE'RE IN VEGAS BITCHES!!!!!!

We are just going to hang out in and around the hotel/casino today. Play some much needed PGP, maybe swim a little, we'll see

Curious to hear about the slots at Aliante - I've never been there.
