    My Trip Report

My wife and I went to Encore Boston Harbor for and overnight trip last Sunday. We had a nice time. My wife actually had a great time. Back to my wife later!
We went to celebrate my birthday. I also had a few vacation days off from work. My wife did too. So, all was good.
We had not been away for an overnight stay to a casino since a Beau Rivage trip last October.
EBH looks just like the Encore in LV. Very attractive on the outside and beautiful on the inside!
We got to Encore around noon. The valet was a little slow, but check in was fast and easy. Our room was amazing. A very comfortable king size bed, a 55 inch tv, a couch, a huge bathroom... We were on the 5th floor with a pretty view of the water. I think EBH is 27 stories high?
When we hit the casino and the video poker machines my wife started winning right away. Over the course of her Sunday play she had two royal flushes, two straight flushes, numerous quads, a zillion full houses that were $10 a pop and so on. She was hot!!! Me, I did get some bang for my buck, but did not have a winning Sunday.
Supper was at the "On Deck" sports pub. Appetizers and big salads with chicken for the both of us! Delicious! A $50 food credit helped! Lots of EBH restaurants are expensive. Think Wynncore prices in LV!
On Monday after a light breakfast at Bru we went for a walk along the casino's Harborwalk. This is a pretty walkway with views of the Mystic River, flowers, statues... Lots of benches! EBH's boat takes off from this walkway to bring you into Boston. It's an easy walk and is great for after a meal.
Back at the casino my wife did not have a winning day, but did hit another straight flush and got lots of quads. I on the other hand started to hit lots of quads and when we stopped to go home I was up $20 for Monday.
All in all it was not a winning trip for me other than the fun, but my wife went home up $2400. Not too shabby!

Flyguy, it was so nice to see your reply. Yes, it seemed like my wife could not lose on Sunday. She was hoping for a 3rd royal on Monday.

Anything to do other than the casino if you spend the weekend? I went about a month ago, but just on a Friday night, gambled and had dinner, so not sure about anything else. I'm planning on heading down for labor day weekend.

The neighborhood that Encore is in does not offer much. A Boston Water & Sewer building, big parking lots, a large electrical complex... But, Encore does have its own boat that takes you back and forth to downtown Boston which has a lot to offer.
