Thanks for both links! I'm always scared they're trying to rip off unsuspecting visitors! It really helps to have an approximation.

FYI...I just returned from Vegas and drove around quite a bit in my rental I returned my car a day early ad took a cab from the rental center. He took the strip all the way back and fare was $19.20. He asked me which way I preferred. He said the strip or the freeway would be better due to lights on Paradise. I had just driven to the rental center using Paradise(tunnel). Too much traffic. The strip was not bad at 5:30 in the evening. I decided on the strip. Real nice cabbie. I took both ways to the Flamingo and the tunnel was actually the shorter trip during the week. Just my experience. Thanks for the links! Very useful!

I'm curious why it says most direct route to Paris when you look at Terminal 1 and 3 says to take LVB to Paris but Paradise/Swenson to Bally's....

i would also like for people to look at times compared to cost. Many discussions on longhauling, this shows that sometimes the shortest way isnt the quickest, but as the wording is, "the most direct".

Cheaper... but by what? $2-3? Thats a lot of extra walking and time wasted waiting for the tram, plus there is usually no taxi wait at T3... just to save a few a teensy amount of money?

what extra walking, when u get off the plane you have an option of going to t1 or t3 by tram there next to each other and its around 4 to 5 dollars extra to t3

I'm not sure, but it probably has to do with where the taxi drop-off point is for each hotel. I haven't take a taxi to either property, but I assume you can access Bally's from the Paradise/Swenson route and you probably have to get on the strip (LVB) to access the drop-off point for Paris. They are probably suggesting LVB so you don't essentially pass Paris twice on the way there, once going north to get to the strip, then again going south to finally make a U-Turn to turn into Paris. That's just my guess anyway.

Last year, (and again this year), I will be flying into T3, but need to meet others at T1. I had to take a shuttle to T1 after gathering my luggage, and wait in baggage there for them. It was kind of a hassle, and if I had not had luggage would have been much easier to take the tram. I am going to try to only have carry on this year, LOL yea...really, gonna TRY :evillaugh

When we stay at Paris I always ask the taxi driver to take us there via Koval to Harmon and go in the back way from Audrie. Seems to be the most direct.

It should be around $10. Make sure that the driver doesn't take the highway. Be sure to tell them to take Paradise Road to the Hard Rock
