I'm taking Cousin Eddie, though Sheldon is a close second.

Here's why...

We know with The Cooler we are just going to lose tons of cash. Yes, we have all had those kind of trips before, but The Cooler never seemed to be a very happy or fun guy to play with, even if not gambling. So he's out.

Debbie Downer? Who needs that? The point of vacation is to relax and have fun. Unless you can take joy at other people's complaining (some folks do!), I wouldn't hang around Debbie. I don't spend much time with people like that on a daily basis, so why hang with them on vacation.

Sheldon... hmm... Socially inept doesn't bother me much, I often don't like other people either. I'm an engineer, so clearly not the Theoretical Physicist our friend Shelly is, but math based nonetheless. Sheldon should be able to calculate probabilities fairly well, hopefully along the lines of how many 10s left in the deck, when to double, take insurance, etc. Maybe even calculating positive EV for progressive based slot machines. Might have some fairly interesting discussions on the power grid and its consumption in Vegas, the light at the Luxor, etc. So not a bad #2 choice...

Cousin Eddie, no problem. Man likes to drink, probably doesn't have much coin, but if I know that going into it I can plan to cover. Wouldn't plan dinner at too high end of a place, stick to buffets (gimme some of the yellah). Problem with Eddie is even his mother told him he was bad luck, but "I guess if your body's covered in third degree burns, and your foot's caught in a bear trap, you tend to start talkin' crazy". Still, I'd take Eddie!

 

I would go with Sheldon Cooper in a second! With his OCD and overly-logical thinking. He would have me rolling on the floor laughing all the time!!!

 

OMG They shouid do an episode with him (Sheldon Cooper) in Vegas!!! That would be hysterical!!!

 

Cousin Eddie wins easily. However, if I were allowed to do some slightly un-ethical and probably illegal things, I could make all the contestants behave themselves just fine.

 

Sheldon easily. I understand where he's coming from, and he probably wouldn't stop me from doing something risky, rather just explaining it afterwards.
I'd actually bring the cooler second, i'll bet dark side if i have to, see how it goes. I think he'd be interesting, but i always thought William H Macy would be cool to talk to, even as this sad character.
Cousin Eddie would be 3rd. i think my first trip would be fun, but my tastes have evolved in a lot of areas, making him a highly annoying person to travel with. I can't do as many buffets as I used to.
