$3 scratchers, in my experience are roughly 1 in 20. Hitting $5 feels like a big event. I've never gotten a bigger one and that is from a very large sample size. If you run a simulator, it's a pretty good bump to the total return just adding $2 to every quad. If memory serves, it is something like a .2% increase.

The $5K scratchers already hit twice this year within the first 3 months. Ive never heard of it hitting 3 times in one year. One was paid to a nickel player

Not that it matters odds-wise, just curious - was she playing JOB or Bonus?

 

Bonus was her game, but this trip she decided to stick with JOB. DDB is normally my game but this trip I also decided to try only JOB. I still lost, but not as much as as normal trips. I realize it is all random but still got a thrill out of 125 for 4oak after a while. Playing JOB, I only hit quad aces once, so that helped me from kicking myself too hard and no W2G.

I was actually ahead a few hundred after the first 2 1/2 days and then everything went sour.

We are both going to try and stick with 9/6 JOB next trip. She has those winnings burning a hole in her pocket and we aren't booked until Oct. Maybe for a change, she'll be the one to say lets go to Vegas.
