I'm no expert by any means, but I understand the while the players card reader is connected to the computer network and can track your play in real time, the game itself is separate and is not connected to the computer network so changes to the hold percentage would have to be made by a technician in person.

That said we know on server based games it is technologically possible to remotely change the payout. A dishonest casino operator could probably change the payout remotely without any message alerting the player if they had a good hacker on staff. Whether any casino operator would actually do this is up for debate.

Personally I DO NOT believe using a players card could affect your results, whether or not the game is server based, at least at a reputable, publicly traded casino in a highly regulated jurisdiction like Nevada. If you don't trust your casino not to cheat you then you shouldn't be playing there at all.

 

Clearly players cards are traced becuase thats what they are designed to do track your play. do they know how much you bet each spin, of course you get points per spin so yes they can tell. they have mult million programs that track trace and spit out the type of player your are. Thats how to design offer for you and among many other things.

No they arent connected to the machine in anyway there is no jinx to give you more or less wins that would be highly illegal and no casino would even dare risk something like that, you cant even alter a machine without prior approval form the gambling commish

The answer is yes they track you. Know which machines, how long. How else do you think they generate the win/loss statements for year end?

And no it does not effect the game's outcome. And even if it did, wouldn't they want to make the game slightly looser for their club members? It would encourage loyalty since you'd feel like you win more when you're at that certain casino. I see all the time where people complain they don't like a certain casino because "I never win there".

Using a player's card doesn't effect the outcome of your slot play. It does track as others have said how long you have played the amount and hours. Also it enables the casino when you have your player's card in a slot to locate you in real time. I've had my hosts at several properties locate me that way and then stop by to say hi.
