Anybody catch the Mac King magic show at Harrah's? I watched some clips on YouTube and it looks like a lot of fun, so I'm wondering if anyone out there can give me a review. I'd be attending with my wife and in-laws.

Saw him a couple trips back. Laughed my ass off. He has some great tricks and really draws the audiance into his sketches. The venue is ok with good views all around and I would say it was only half full when we went. We tipped for a booth that line along the middle of the room and could see everything perfectly. Worth seeing IMHO.

I heard lots of good comments about his show so went to see it on our last trip. It was very good, and now I understand his posters in the casinos. A perfect afternoon show to take the family. Our show was full, with lots of kids.

You should be able to get some kind of discount or free tickets which makes it an even better deal. We asked about tickets from the total rewards desk and was directed to the show desk. We showed our platinum cards and was given two tickets.

Go to the Total Rewards booth and ask for tickets (you do not have to be a TR member). Take the voucher they give you to the box office outside the theater and you'll pay $10 a ticket that includes a drink, so essentially free.

It's a fun way to kill an hour in the afternoon.

I saw him years ago with a coupon; It was free with the purchase of a drink. There were no bad seats and it was a good show and everyone in the family can go. He is a great entertainer.

Seen him at least half a dozen times with different groups of people. Never had a single complaint from anyone.

Good for all ages. Especially great when you're a little tipsy.

Saw him a couple summers ago by myself, was a great time. Took a group of 10 a year ago, they all loved it.

I definitely agree, it's a great way to spend some time in the afternoon. Him and Jeff Civilico are both on my go-to list when I have time to kill in the afternoons.

I've long stumped for Mac, his show is very well done.

That "free" drink is $10 plus tax, title and license. Total cost last time I was there was about $13.50, which makes it $27 for a pair of tickets. Good show for the price of admission, but I refuse to call it a free show, as that drink is worth very little. They're not pouring top shelf, multi-shot cocktails there. Granted, I've read stories about people paying in excess of $10 for a glass of soda, or upwards of $15 for the privilege of a single-shot mixed drink in a swanky casino bar, the same casino where the booze flows freely all around the bar, so I suppose $13.50 for a drink isn't preposterous, but don't kid yourself, you're not getting a $13 cocktail.

For what it's worth, I don't think I've ever read a negative review of his show. I'm sure a few people were indifferent to it at the end of the day, but I've never read anything suggesting it wasn't entertaining.

With kids I'd rate the show a 9.

Adults only I'd rate it a 6 or 7. Higher if you're factoring in price.

I really enjoyed the show. Does a good job of entertaining all ages.
