I see that B Connected will move to keeping points for only 6 months except for one casino designated as a "destination" casino. Some are changing the one they picked. I'm not sure how to do that. As I read my account, it won't matter for all the play I did last year in March and April because those points will drop out of the system before I go back. I was very careful to use up all my CET points, and since I don't play poker there, I did not earn more in October and November. At the Four Queens I just end a trip by collecting cashback, so I never leave a balance. Does anyone know the lifetime of points at other casinos? The D? Are there any casinos that keep the points active and don't drop them? I remember that I once did not go to Fiesta Henderson for two years, and when I went back they brought up the points I had earned. I suppose that is all changed now. But I'm curious about the Station casinos.
To get details on what your points are worth, call a particular Player's Club. Food is often one use and cashback is another. Mailings or other offers do not depend on you point balance, so don't be afraid to spend them. There there is a number called a "card Score" You can see this on your B Connected account. It determines when you read another card level, and that can increase benefits. I just talked on the phone to the Sam's Town Player's Club. I guess I got the wrong info on changes, because points are all good for food, etc, as long as I play once a year. Vegas property has no bearing on that. However, the Midwest rules may only give players 6 months and Vegas locals only get 6 months. Establishing the right home property can change offers. To change your property you can go to the Player's Club or for Sam's Town you can email [email protected], give your date of birth, and make a request that Sam's Town be your home property. Orleans is now mine, but I want to change it to Sam's Town. For other properties by email, call the Player's Club and get an address. With no notice, the fellow at Sam's Town Player's club said the most played at property would automatically revert to B Connected home property. Okay, now don't let me hijack my own thread. I'm still looking for a casino where points never go away. In the meantime, if I leave Vegas with points at Boyd, I'll convert them into cashback.
Interesting information. I would appreciate information on the source. I have searched, but could not locate it. The current rules for downtown is that for out of state players, the card score is good for 12 months. The slot points never expire if the card had been active. As for "destination" casino, I assume this is the same as what I had been referring to as my "home" casino for downtown Boyd. This can be done at the slot booth. Others have said they had done this on line, but am not familiar with this procedure. A player can receive offers from only one of the three downtown Boyd casinos and that is from their "home" casino.
I think our posts crossed and I have added this information. I read about the reduction in time on VP free, but that was apparently not correct. The fellow at the Sam's Town Player's Club said that "home" casino has no bearing on points. Points to use for food, etc, are good as long as we play once a year. "Card Score" that determines level only looks at the play for 12 consecutive months. Now that I really digest this, it may be that I did use my points up for food when I was there. Using them would not affect my card score and that is what I was looking at on B Connected. I'm often confused on point issues. In recent years it has not mattered much because I've played mostly live poker, but I am moving more to video poker again and I seem to be not able to hammer out as many Vegas trips, so I can imagine not playing to save points. Sure would be fine if points were good forever or at least for a couple years.
I keep VERY close track of points, both "card score" & in my case "slot points", which all come from video poker. Come the 2nd or 3rd of every month, any card score points earned 12 months prior will drop off. As a local, that would happen every 6 months. As an example, the "card score" points we earned in Feb 2013, just dropped off my card on March 3rd, 2014.
That sounds right Joe. But if you are designated as a "local" or have a non-Vegas home casino you only have the 6 month period for Card Score like you mentioned. My casino is "Sam's Town Tunica" because that's where I initially signed up slash probably play the most. They also have 9/6 JoB at the bar. As for "slot points" that are redeemable, I would be surprised if they would take them away after 6 months of inactivity, I would think it's 12. I could be wrong though. Only those jerks at CET are the only company I am aware of that takes them away after 6 months.
