MyVegas LV Monorail Reward

Has anyone tried to use this reward yet? Im going in March and need to iron out some details. Help?

 

I redeemed this. You will have to redeem your buy one get one, when an attendant is on duty. I can't remember the times, but I think they opened at 9 am. If you are claiming one day, two day, etc, the time starts whenever you claim it. For example, we had the one day ticket. We purchased it at 11 am. We used it all day and night, and woke up the next day and took the monorail out. Have your ID to prove the attendant who you are to redeem your award.

 

So if I have enough loyalty for a 4 day pass, I can redeem it and use the same day? No need to do it in advance?

 

We did the 24 hour pass last time we were in Vegas ........... attendant did not even look at our paperwork - he just charged us for one fare - gave us 2 passes.

We went from MGM to LVH and back with one other stop ......... it does not go to The Wynn anymore.

Its great if your going to a specific hotel that hosts the monorail but if not your still in for some walking.

I'd do it again if needed but it was nothing special. Actually wife and I were surprised at what a rough ride it was compared to the separate trams that service the Aria and Mandalay

 

There are other trams?!

 

Yes ..... hotel property trams not monorail but basically the same

There is a tram that goes from Excalibur to Luxor to Mandalay Bay

Then one that goes from Aria to Crystals to Vdara/Bellagio


To answer your question - Not sure about same day redemption ...... we did ours well in advance. If you don't use the reward you can e-mail MyVegas and they will give you back the loyalty points.

 

I think in this case you would be ok with same day redemption.

I remember printing out my code and confirmation, it may be easier for you to print this out @ home than in LV.

 

Sorry, I didnt know. This will only be my second trip. How far in advance did you guys redeem? A month or so?

 

No worries - we did not know about the Aria tram until our 3rd or 4th visit. We seem to learn something new or something helpful about getting around each visit.

We redeemed ours about a month out - wanted to go to LVH for something and the monorail served its purpose. Plus it was kind of an attraction in its self. Monorail in Vegas - hey why not.

 

Same here. It actually doesn't even show "Redeemed" in our "Purchases".
Makes me wonder if they even care about the 2:1 24 hour passes...

 

When they give you the passes, they are valid from the the moment they are entered into the turnstile on your first trip, right?

I will be going solo and purchases a BOGO 48hr voucher. I plan to redeem to use use the first ticket the first day and the the second the 3rd day. This works, right? They don't need to be used at the same time?

 

Yes - sounds like you have it right - I'd confirm with LVM to be sure though.

 

The clock starts on the pass as soon as you run it through the gate. They are good for a year so if you never activate your second pass you can save it. I bought the 3 day passes in august and still have the other one to use next time. The monorail reward does not count toward your 3 rewards.

So wait, I have another question: I am going to redeem the 5 day LVM pass. The details says it's a BOGO item. Just to clarify, that means that I'll get a second 5 day that I can use, too, right? So I could give it to my boyfriend to use?

 

yes - that is what my wife and I did with a 1 day bogo pass
