I read every word and loved it all. The pictures were the icing on the cake. I've been to Vegas 43 times (#44 coming up on Jan 23) and never get tired of great stories and pictures. I just may have to get myself a new camera.

Wonderful photos! Thank you for sharing!

After I marveled at the first set, I went back and turned my phone sideways for a better view and got a kick out of the gentleman in the red "Dogtown" teeshirt in front of Mon Ami Gabi in Photo #1.

"Dogtown" is a derogatory name for North Little Rock, Arkansas that us locals have not only accepted but come to have pride in over time. The man wearing it is almost certainly a neighbor of mine.

You never know what a snap of a photo will capture. I love looking in detail at some random shots and be surprised at what funny or goofy thing someone might be doing. I've taken pictures at hockey games and realized later that the I know the guy sitting in the stands on the other side of the arena.

    Your pictures are stunning.

Nothing to do with the Camera or Megapixels, everything to do with that eye for composition.

I missed the original post, and am very glad everyone kept posting the kudos, so I could see them.

nice report, great pics. I have the G11 and I'm looking to get the G16 next. Amazon did have the G15 for sale last month for 349.00, which was a great price. I probably should've taken advantage of it, but I'm looking to get the G16 for the wifi and the better video. Probably not worth the extra $$ though.
I remember something somebody wrote about what he thinks when someone says something like "hey, great pictures, you must have a nice camera." He said nobody ever says "hey great meal, you must have nice pots and pans." The point being it's usually the photographer, not the camera.

From what I've read in reviews, the G16 is almost identical to the G15 except for the wifi. The video on the G15 is remarkable at 720 30fps, and really nice at 1080 24fps. I guess the wifi is nice, but I like just taking the card and inserting into my desktop or laptop for transfer, it's fast. At $349 the G15 is priced better than I've ever seen. Whichever camera you decide on you will be most pleased. I'll see if I can upload a video taken at night for you to see. I promise it will be of Las Vegas.

    Impressive photos. Good eye.

Love how you spent your time 'gaming'. Much more refined without the "bl" in it. From now on that's what I'm doing in Vegas. :ssst:

I uploaded this to Youtube. I don't usually upload videos so I don't know how well this is going to show. Select the 720HD qualilty. This was shot in 720 HD 30 frames per second. The original the G15 took is cinema quality. The camera lets you optically zoom while recording and is excellent in low light. Not to mention the gondola ride with those angels playing in the background was very romantic.
