If, you feel that Harrah's room rates are high and I do rates this year they are more than double last year same time, same property. So what to do maybe a Total Rewards Visa Card charge $750 in 3 months get 10K points ($1K Harrah's $)plus platinum and resort fees are waived on room(s). It's your call good luck.

This is your 2nd post about the visa card, do you work for them? it sounds like an ad more than it does a "warning" or an "fyi"

Also, isn't 10k rewards credit equal to $100, not $1k?

Not sure if you comparing apples to apples, but, rates move around for many reasons.

    Conferences
Holidays (different dates for some each year)
    Special Events
    Supply and Demand

By the way, as indicated the 10k in points is $100. But, you also get points for the $750 spent, right?

But, as you pointed out, getting their card is not always the best idea. After all, if you decide to stay at TI, or VP or any MGM hotel, those points would be worth - let me get a calculator - $00 towards your room.

Since when are room rates high at Harrah's? Man, I can't afford $24 a night, so I better charge $750 on my credit card to get it free! Right...

I had the old one, while it's fine, unless you charge a TON it's not really worth it. Then you feel attached to the CET properties.
