The web pricing on the Wynn web site for a King Deluxe room at Wynn is the same as a King Deluxe Suite at Encore. You would think a suite at a newer hotel would cost more than a room at a slightly older hotel. Why do you think the pricing is the same? If given the choice which one would be better to book and why?

    1. Encore is a newer property, but Wynn has newer rooms. They were renovated about 2-3 years ago.

    2. There isn't a huge difference in size. Both are huge. I think Wynn's are about 600-650 sq ft and Encore's about 100 sq ft larger.

    3. Encore suites are not suites in the strictest sense of the word. There is a bedroom "area" and a living "area" separated by a half wall that doubles as a chest of drawers and upon which the TV sits. It gives you a distinct feel of two rooms. But it does not provide any privacy or noise/light buffer between the two "rooms".

    4. In some Encore rooms - mostly the south-facing ones - noise from the clubs is quite noticeable until the wee hours. Depending on how heavy or light of a sleeper you are, the level of annoyance this causes could range from "non-issue" to "deal-breaker". If you go with Encore, make sure to ask for a "quiet" or north-facing room.

With the exception of the possible club noise at Encore, both rooms are about as good as it gets, IMO: huge, beautiful, comfortable and attached to two wonderful properties. You really can't go wrong with whichever you choose.

If it were me, I'd base my decision on which property I wanted to spend more of my time in.

Thank you for the good information. Are you able to use the pools of both properties or just the one you are staying at? If only the one pool which is the better one?

Wynncore is Wynncore. Stay at one, use facilities of both.

Personally, we prefer the Encore "suites." But it's up to you. Both are magnificent.

Wynn casino is a lot busier than Encore if that is a factor but both places are great. Not sure why you would want to use the other pools as there a little walk from each other but as long as you have a key you should be fine.

If walking is an issue go for the Wynn. I recently stayed at Encore and walked out the Tower Suite valet and it was 1/2 mile to the Pallazo...inside it would be more..

I stayed at Encore a few years ago and Wynn before that. So it was before they remodeled Wynn. Either is great. I liked the openness of the Wynn room. But I liked the design of the Encore rooms. Granted, I had a better view from the Encore room. I also liked the walked from Wynn to my Encore room because I like to walk.

stayed at both, but now only Wynn. Less walking and less drunk clubbers staggering around at all hours!

Would a old hotel key work at either the wynn or encore pool? Is there a gate with scanner or just a guy checking hotel key where all you gotta do is flash the key?

They plug them into a scanner to make sure they're current/active.

Love how quiet the Encore can be. Great casino to just dial in and gamble away.

Love both properties but i have to agree. Encore is not as crowded and more quiet, that along with slightly nicer rooms and pool area makes me go with it most of the times. As mentioned Wynn has a little better location even though its only a short walk in between.

Encore also has Sinatra and Society Cafe. That counts for a lot to us.

Oyster is a good hotel picture site, for US hotels anyways. Not much international stuff on there yet. Oyster has some of the only health club pics in Vegas hotels anywhere on the net! I've looked everywhere, believe me!
