im attempting a trip this weekend where I don't gamble in vegas. Very easily said than done. I want to just party, go to shows, hang out and sight see. Now I love to gamble but I can gamble at home.

do you think that you could pull it off? its gonna be hard but im going to give it a try.

Yes, but it doesn't hurt to playing your favorite game for a bit.

I do not think I could go to vegas and not gamble....and I am not much of a gambler. It is just another fun activity to do out there for me and I do not play anywhere else generally. But I am sure it can be done. After all, nongamblers can be vegas lovers too.

For a weekend it definitely can be done but very few just go for the sights or shows. The lights stay on 24 hours a day because of the gambling. It'll be interesting to hear how your challenge goes. Good luck.

NOOOOOOOOOOO. It's the reason we go to Vegas. Huge Indian casino ~20 miles from our house. Never go there.

For me it's not possible. I could always dig up a few bucks to sit on the Pai Gow table. If it's a five dollar table and not playing the bonus and with a little luck your money can last. Long enough to have a lot of drinks.

I can and do, but I live in Nevada and frequent Vegas for business primarily... so very different from most on the board. Though I live here, I can count on one hand the number of times I've gambled up north. When I do... it's Las Vegas!

As others have said, "NO WAY!" I go mainly to gamble; and although I like many of the other things Vegas provides, I definitely wouldn't bother if I couldn't play.

I almost did it on our last trip. Was a business trip, did some shopping, lots of eating & drinking. Gambled about an hour on our last night in town:peace: And I would have been fine not gambling - I like to play craps and we were at TI - no $5 tables anywhere around and I didn't feel like traveling to gamble a little so I just played some slots while my husband played electronic craps - I watched their game some too.....

Possible...you'd likely have to have a lot of other activities scheduled. Shows, dinners, sight-seeing. I don't think I could do it, but if I set my mind to not gambling it would be an interesting challenge.

There is no way I would even consider going to Vegas and not being able to gamble.

I think I could probably come to Vegas and gamble less, maybe only at night time or whatever. Well that is till the degenerate side kicks in after a few too many sherbets, and then I,d feel justified in upping my bets to make up for the time that I had,nt gambled!!:wink2:

    Short answer........ No feckin way:beer::beer::beer:

No chance. When I'm in Vegas I gamble. I don't go to many shows and I don't go to clubs so there wouldn't be much else for me to do.

o me now since I gamble a lot when I go to Vegas, but way back when I first started going, I did not gamble a cent on my first two trips. The first time was easy because I was not even in town for 24 hours (it was more of a one night stopover to party with friends while on my way to another destination). The second time, I was there for three nights. I shopped, hung by the pool, ate good food, watched a ton of sports, and saw a couple shows.

Don't think I could do it now, but it is interesting to think back to those early trips

I enjoy gambling and I go to Vegas to...gamble!

    But it's not for everyone.

As Vegas seems determined to turn the Strip into a bizarre mismatched mega-mall of high-high-high-end shopping mixed with third-world "entertainers," homeless water vendors, some sort of tent city in front of Bally's, a giant ferris wheel with views of the back of hotels and parking lots, and Walgreens/CVS stores scattered in between...it looks like there will be plenty to do for those with an aversion to gambling.

Easily. I've done it. If I'm in town for a conference or something else that keeps me busy all day, I can spend a couple of days in town and never bet a thing.
