    Hi everyone,

It is almost here, I leave this Friday, the 10th. Usually my trips are so last minute and I hardly plan on anything but not this time. I freaking have a full page itinerary set up, which totally disgusts me. :nono:

But I am totally looking forward to this and shall share some of my planned activities, wondering if you think I planned too much. Solo trip as always

May 10 - Friday - Sunset Station -comp
7.5 hour drive to Las Vegas - In n Out, VP, Pai Gow Poker, not necessarily in that order

    May 11 - Saturday
Brunch Buffet - Border Grill Mandalay Bay
    Pool time
Possible Rolling Stones Concert - depends if my local connection comes through for me

    May 12 - Sunday
    Hiking Red Rocks Canyon
Move to Mandalay Bay - comped
Meet N Greet with VMBers Peppermill/Riviera

    May 13 - Monday
    Lazy day at Pool
Dinner Nine Fine Irishmen - comp
Zumanity - comp (I have an extra ticket if anyone is interested)

    May 14- Tuesday
    Neon Boneyard Tour - 11am
    Mob Museum visit
    Move to Aria - comp
Evening - Meet n Greet Kahunaville

    May 15 - Wednesday
    Lunch Bellagio
    pool time
Dinner - Tender Steakhouse - comp

    May 16 - Thursday
The long drive home, boo hoo

Certainly more than I have ever planned on a Las Vegas trip. Gambling budget is small, $700. Do you think I have over done it??

Not crazy as long as you're flexible and don't mind if you can't get to everything. We always have certain places that we want to eat or go. (every trip the "must do" list grows by one or two :faint:) I had a schedule like yours for our trip two weeks ago. We ended up doing 1/2 to 2/3 of the things on it.
Don't regret not doing them. I'm on vacation, I'm not in a rush to go here and there, at the same time I like to plan things out somewhat so I'm not trying to decide "hhmmm should we do this or this......."

I'm like VegasDave. After the first hour in Vegas all planning is forgotten.

Part of me can't comprehend how someone can drink their way through Las Vegas like some seem to enjoy (I can get stupid drunk in my home city if I choose). On the other hand, that's the beauty of Vegas... everyone that goes has his/her idea of the attraction. So let's hoist one (and only one ) as I give my itinerary for this weekend...

    Sat May 11 -
    Arrive 8:30 AM
    Brunch at Mon Ami Gabi
    CSI Experience (w/ Groupon)
Mob Museum (it is National Law Enforcement day... lots of "extra" stuff)
    Dinner at Gordon Ramsay Steak

    Sun May 12 -
    Breakfast at Eat
    Flying to Reno

    Weds May 15 -
Arrive from Reno at 3:00 PM
Dinner (probably) at Taco El Gordo
    Poker tournament at Hard Rock

    Thurs May 16 -
    Poker tournament at Planet Hollywood
Lunch somewhere (Look! Something not planned in advance!)
    Fly home at 6:30 PM

And a night before a Qua Spa day.

I tend to overplan but this year is stupid...husband is already unhappy about it. But booking shows ahead of time and redeeming myVegas has led me to plan a bit too much this year.

5/12 stay at the airport in Manchester due to early flight

5/13 6:45 am flight connecting in Denver, bags, rental car, grocery store...check into Mirage....Mirage buffet for supper ( LVA 2/1 coupon)

5/14 lunch at Bellagio myVegas, VMB meet at NYNY, Donny & Marie

5/15 Hoover Dam, drop by GVR for the first time, CC Steakhouse myVegas

5/16 breather thank god, Human Nature that night

5/17 Peppermill for breakfast, Fantastic Swap Meet, checkout Mirage check in South Point

    5/18 Outlet Mall

5/19 gamble and NOT leave the hotel ( Husband is heading to Broad Acres flea market early in the morning)

    5/20 checkout and head home

List was worse than this....this is the cut down version

If you are crazy then so am I.

Saturday 5/11 - 1:00 p.m. Arrive at Aria where I have a City View Corner suite reserved. Eat Buffet. Gamble.

Sunday 5/12. Gamble at Aria mostly – with a side trip to Cosmo to do the $100 thing, and a CET casino – don’t know which one yet. At lunch, pre-order dinner room service (yum). At 3:00, meet DTSecondHome/DebH at JP to spend some time together.

Monday 5/13 – Gamble at Aria in the a.m. Probably give the breakfast buffet a try. 3:00 head for TA M&G at NY NY. After that, head for the Luxor to see Carrot Top.

Tuesday 5/14 – Gamble at Aria in the a.m. Hopefully get a late check-out – at least until noon. Move to the Vdara where I have a one-bedroom penthouse suite reserved. Hopefully I can get in fairly early. At 3:00 head back to NY NY for the VMB M&G. Spend the evening in my wonderful suite – enjoying it – and doing a load of laundry.

Wednesday – 5/15 – today I will move to the Mirage. My suite at the Vdara entitles me to airport limo – which I didn’t need on either end. I’m hoping they will be nice and be willing to take me to the Mirage. Then back to the Bellagio to meet up with aceofdelts at Petrossian at Bellagio at 3:30. Then I am seeing Terry Fator that evening.

    Busy girl!!!

For me, anyway, being able and free to drink without having to monitor and restrain myself, not watching the clock & computing metabolic alcohol burn rates per hour, is part of the joy and fun in going to Vegas!

For my upcoming trip, the "plans" (such that they are) are simple:

Arrive & take an airport shuttle to Fremont...check-in, drop off the bag & play an hour or so at the Fremont's 2-deck $10 table. Then spend the remainder of the evening bouncing from El-Co to the Cal to MSS to Plaza and to Golden Gate for blackjack. Sneak into GN and 4Q for some 3-card.
    Drink.
Hit the sack early (10pm local time) and start it all again the next morning at 5AM.
    Eat when I get hungry.

The best part is that you probably won't get to do all of the items on your list which is the perfect reason to plan another trip afterward.

I can tell you from experience that the Gun Store is probably the most likely to drop off from this list. I've never seen a group successfully make it there following a night of heavy drinking... even more so when there's unlimited alcohol involved!
