I'm also thinking that itch won't be gone in just one trip. The first time I seriously played craps I went on 3-4 tables on the trip that had 30+ minute rolls. It took 4-5 trips after that to finally realize those are rare and I should stop chasing after them. :)

The thrills of the massive wins are awesome. Of course with that comes those changes of the devastating loss. This is the core of why many people gamble. I just hope you haven't lost interest in other games simply because you will never get that 900k payout on one hit.

Good luck in the tourney Nate.

ha ha Dude- lighten up, since when are people so sensitive that they have to send a pm to someone that makes a comment on a message board.

Im not mad, Im just amused when people try to give Nate tips about curbing his gambling or taking it easy. He doesnt really listen to feedback, at least not for long anyway. So its funny because people are giving him advice like they are really trying to help him-lol

Hes a stone cold degenerNATE (and I mean that in the most positive way) who is fortunate enough to have plenty of loot to fullfill his degeneracy.

Im curious to see if he will actually stand by his stoploss or try to make another big run at it, I hope he makes a run.

Sucks about the loss. Hopefully you'll find other ways to entertain yourself and maybe post some reports of how your friends' days are going.

Nate is gracious in telling us about his experiences. If he wants our advice, he can ask. Until then, thank you again Nate for taking us along for some play that most of us will never even remotely experience. Now, fingers crossed or whatever lucky charm will help you.

Me too. Let's not kid ourselves, Nate will be back in action. He has large CLs all over town. Where is the over/under? I would say Saturday around 8pm. I would bet the under (he will be back in action before that time). Good luck Nate and thanks for sharing all of this.

bummer. I am sorry you lost mostly because it feels like the fun was stolen. I know the money is money but aren't we all really in it for the thrill?

    Good luck in the tournament!

All I can say is, I hope Nate takes first in the poker tourney and parlays that into the biggest win Wynn has ever seen. That would be an epic end to this trip report.

Good luck on the tourney....thanks for the TR

    Nate,

    Nate,

Thanks for taking us on your ride...good or bad. That's the way it works with gambling. Sure we want to hear about more escapades....I hope you do what is good for you.

I gamble less than 10% of what you do per trip...maybe even 5%. But, I've had a few big wins 10x or 25x my bankroll. My family wonders how I get the offers and/or the wins. I have to explain there are times that I lose...sometimes it's painful.

My point is....it is hard to win every trip. There will be great trips and there will be bad ones....some that can be made even worse. The evil is trying to play enough to make a bad trip turn around.

Bottom line - Nate knows his limit. I just wish him well and thanks for the honesty.

What's the saying? A battle plan goes out the window in the first 30 seconds of combat? That's why I found nates posts detailing stop losses and strategy entertaining as by following his trip reports, it's clear that under the gun he will either play til he wins or loses, stop loss and strategy be damned.
Roulette and Nate are an entertaining match but a terrible one as money can go very quickly and salvation is always one high bet spin away.

Good luck in the tourney. I have a feeling the 1mil stop loss may not be the end of this trip report!

Are you serious? You say it like its no big deal but do you realize how improbable that is? It's about 1 in every 6000 attempts for the 6 points and you also did the 4 and 5. This bet hasn't been around for that long and over that time there are probably not more than a handful of people in this entire country who have done that. You're either punking us or you have a seriously amazing golden arm!

KickenChicken, As for the fire bet, my local casino in Illinois had it for about 2 to 3 months and they paid out the 6 point fire bet at least 4 times I know of. I was never playing when it hit all 6, but I went to eat supper and they rolled before I got back. Bummer. I've personally got paid on 4 points numerous times and 5 points 4 times. They took it off the layout because they felt it didn't bring in enough revenue to make up for what they had to pay for the license fee.

I've been at 2 tables where the 6 point hit. I've personally have hit 5 points twice and 4 points quite a few times. While its rare it does happen and always worth a nickel.

I know it hits and I do play it cuz like Nate put it - it adds gravy to a hot roll. Even the least probable one, the 6 points, should hit at least a few times per month at most casinos. Its about 1 in 6000 attempts so its several times more likely than hitting a royal in VP. I just meant for one person to have hit the 4, 5, and 6 since this bet has been available was unlikely. Not impossible at all but just really unlikely unless you play a shitload.

I've also seen the 4 point hit a few times and the 5 point hit once. Unfortunately I was never at the table for the start of those rolls. :(

Where do you play at? It's been in Vegas for several years. There's nothing like the rush you get after getting 5 points and establishing the 6th and knowing that every toss of the dice could be worth $5000 for a $5 bet. I've been in that situation 3 times in less than 2 months. The last time it happened was just 2 of us at the table. The other guy was shooting from the don't side and switched after the third point. Made 5 and established the 6 th then sevened out after 3 more tosses.
