Any help which travel site best to book thru for flight and hotel package?
(Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia)

Has anyone ever had good results with priceline especially the name your price deal?

I hate to sound like a commercial for them but I would try kayak.com. It searches all the big sites for you. Like Sonya said, it depends. They all have their random "sales".

You might also want to check with your credit card company. Sometimes they have deals and cash back. Though, some use the big sites like Expedia.

I have the best luck from Southwestvacations because my airport flies direct to Vegas, I usually get steals.

Right now I have setup a trip from Midland, TX May 11th-15th 2 plane tickets, Wynn Panoramic Double room, with tax was a hair over $1,400.

 

THERE are lots of factors and choices and you should actually explore all if you hve the time. I usually go to Kayak.com, and then see the prices of diffeent brokers. If several are the same, I go with one that I have used before or who have gotten good reviews here from others. Sometimes southwestvacations has great deals but they don't accept credits from SWA and you are less flexible if prices drop etc. when you are pricing flights click "add hotel" cause it is not necessarily the same price as the package from SWV. Check everywhere and check often.

If ya have a smartphone, download TripAdvisor (you could even download it for a particualr city like Las Vegas). They give you all the travel sites at once you decide whats the best rate for you. Not only that but they also have tons of reviews on hotels, clubs, resturant, anything. For good site to use.

 

www.jetblue.com - Sometimes much better deals compared to Expedia. I remember last December three days at the Encore flying from JFK on Expedia was at $960 and on jetblue the price was $580. Yet you have to check constantly though because the pricing is very volatile. It would be some $1000 one day and two days later it would be $600 for example.

Sometimes it would be vice versa where Expedia would be cheaper than jetblue.

Best bet is to use kayak.com to get cheap air and you have a membership card with the casino(s). With that it would be much easier to get a good deal on your trip to Vegas.

And yes I hear many folks praising South West.

 

I may look at multiple sites, but almost always get just as good of deal going direct to the specific airline or hotel.

 

You can also just go to tripadvisor online. With the number of clicks and open windows in the booking price, I would find using a smartphone very difficult.
