I know there is a Super Liquors across the street from Mandalay Bay, but I am a tequila collector and they did not have what I was looking for (tho' I did get a Kah blanco skull). Are there any Lee's Liquors nearby? Which would be the closest by cab? I am looking for a store near the south end of the strip which would have some higher end tequilas for sale and I am taking a cab as I don't have a car. Any assistance would be appreciated!

If Lee's doesn't have it, nobody has it. (Okay, this may not be true, but they have a LOT of booze).

I don't know if you have specific brands in mind, if not then I would research some of the brands and figure out which ones you want and then phone a few different liquor stores to see if they have the brand(s) you are looking for... otherwise you are just wasting time and cab fare if you end up touring around checking out liquor stores and only find the same selection as whats across the street from Mandalay Bay.

To find liquor store in Las Vegas the easiest thing to do is go to:
    http://maps.google.com

In the search box type in: Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas

When Mandalay Bay shows up, zoom in to a level you are comfortable with and then clear the search box and type in: liquor store

Once you hit the little search button liquor stores and stores that sell liquors will appear highlighted on the map. If you click on one of the stores you will see its info like address and phone number

there is a liquor store on tropicana 2 buildings over from Hooters casino. Smaller place but they had a decent variety of liquors and a good amount of higher end stuff. I'm not a tequilla drinker so I can't comment on whether they had specialty tequilla there.
It is definately walkable. Take the tram to excalibur then probably like a 5 min walk down Trop past tropicana and hooters.
