Just sitting here, watching travel channel, and they showing "vegas afterhours"

2 bars they featured, seems like they would be kind of fun and up my alley, was coin in and swingers. Casual joints with stuff to do (video games/Mini golf) I was curious how they are, and what else is downtown fun to do such as that. I usually stick to the strip places cause thats where I stay, places like Carnival court/piano bar, gilleys, Osheas(RIP) , are my types.

I have only been downtown 1 time in my last 4 trips that have spanned 5 years....and when I went it was last Feb and was DEAD down there. I always feel like I waste $25 a way on a cab, but if those two places and some more pop up down there that would be up my alley, I would go more often and party.

    reviews please!

Swingers no longer exists. Insert Coins is still around though.

Yes, Swingers is closed. Insert Coins is fun, and there are quite a few other bars on Fremont East worth checking out. If you get to Fremont in the late afternoon on a weekday you can hit the happy hour specials at Mickie Finnz (4-7), Downtown Cocktail Lounge (4-8).

thanks for the replies. The Griffin seems cool, I would not mind checking that out. And possibly Coin in still.

How is the craft beer's at those spots(or any other downtown)?

The craft brews made in house at Main Street Casino's 777 Brewpub are quite good. There 's a Chicago Brewing Co in the Four Queens that has decent brews as well. As far as finding a good selection of commercial craft and micros, I haven't really found that yet, downtown. Downtown Cocktail usually has a couple of good Belgians available (Delerium Tremens, Chimay), if that helps. If you have a car, get out to the Freakin Frog, Aces and Ales and/or the Yard House.
