Sportsbooks during Super Bowl open to all?

During the Super Bowl are Vegas sports books open to everyone on a first come basis for seating or are they reserved for invite only events? I know they're taking bets from anyone, but can you grab a seat and watch there?

 

Some seats will be reserved those that are not will be taken 4+ hours prior to kickoff most likely so if you want seats at a sportsbook get them early.

 

Super Bowl is single biggest event

As equalizer says, get there as early as possible. Tables and booths will be reserved more than likely. People want to be seen and reserving a table in the Sportsbook is being seen.


There will be overflow areas that will also have more tables and booths that can be reserved. Typically, there is not enough demand for overflow to be reserved unless it is a monster crowd.


If you are a single you might have an easier time of scoring a vacant seat.

 

The LaGasse book in the Palazzo may be an exception. It seems to be closed every BCS title game (or at least each when I am in Vegas). It is part celebrity chef restaurant, part sportsbook anyway.

The rest should be open, but the people saying all seats are taken 4 hours ahead of time are not kidding. You can always aim for a party, which might cost but might be worth it, or a bar.

 

I have never been there for SB weekend, but if the crowd is comparable to MM (which other folks have told me it is), the seats start getting taken four or five hours before the event.

I have done MM with reserved seats in a book and without. Either way, it is packed and the energy is crazy. actually, its not the best way to watch a game if that is your main goal. its worth it for the energy and excitement in the room, but if you are truly a fan of one of the teams that will live and die with every play, stick to either your room or find a bar with a smaller crowd to watch it
