getting from terminal 3 to terminal 1 (for booze)

so if my flight is landing at T3, is there any way to get to T1, more specifically the Liquor Library, after getting my bags at T3??

 

You could get on a rental car shuttle, have it take you to rental car place, then get back on another shuttle.

 

There is an inter-terminal airport shuttle but I don't know the details other than its supposed to run every 15 minutes.

 

The pick-up for the inter-terminal shuttle is at the Zero Level of terminal 3 near the center curve. It runs every 12-15 minutes. It will drop you off at Ground Zero of terminal 1, which is quite close the Liquor Library.

 

For the prices and brands available, it's not worth the hassle. Walgreens and CVS have alcohol now and the prices are probably comparable.

 

Doesn't the rail transport take you from terminal to terminal every couple of minutes?

 

Is the tram from the D gates still running to Terminal 1 or did that get shut down once Terminal 3 opened?

 

One tram runs from T1 to the D Gates, and a separate tram runs from T3 to the D Gates. However, the trams are in the secured area and the OP has to pick up his luggage.

 

I thought one of the good features about Terminal 3 was a very good liquor outlet.

 

So if you had carryon only and arrived at T3, you could take the tram to D gates, and then on to T1 and catch the WAX bus downtown for $2?...

Yep... that'll work as long as you can remain in the secured area of T3 (ie: no luggage pickup).
