Ah that sucks! Oh well you do get to enjoy it for 6 months and it's not like you'll be dropping back down to gold. Sounds like you plan to try and get the most use out of it.

That's the plan. I am really looking forward to the free drinks in the Diamond lounge. Anyone know how it works if you are with non-Diamond members in terms of skipping buffet lines and the Diamond lounge?

The diamond lounges will accept you and 1 guest (Must be over 21 years of age).

For line passes, as long as you are with them you can have as many as you like. For buffets, in order to use the diamond line, I do believe the diamond card holder must pay for all of the buffets.

And yes, they do check ID Always, so do not try and take an expired diamond card up to the cashier at a buffet and expect to get in.

    nice TR

my best trips have always been when I win money right away and up the stakes with house money...most of the time it involves a gambling grind to recoup the losses

i've been in the diamond lounge @ PHo with some friends, pretty nice setup they got going on back there, enjoy it!

The best 2 diamond Lounges in Vegas are at Caesars and Paris. Caesars being the best. Good place to watch football games and get good free drinks.

Mr Notre Dame...GREAT report. I truly enjoyed it all. Very captivating. I did laugh at KingBB wanting to punch you in the throat. But hey, even you can get along with drug lords. Forget about it!! Great job!

My main issue with complaining about people that are late at finishing reports is that they are doing this for very little gain and you are insulting them for even trying.

It just came across to me as "OMG you just ruined my life". If that is truly the way someone feels, maybe they should wait like 2 weeks before reading any trip report and then verifying it ended.

Anyway....Great report. I get the feeling something like the woman would never happen on a BJ table. Maybe I need to play more baccarat....

Winning players should definitely be tipping the dealers but tipping the dealers green chips has no bearing on you making diamond or on your rating. The floor supervisors and shift managers at just about every casino out here make a set shift rate, they do not get any share of the dealer tips. Actually the casino managers and casino bean counters hate to see the dealers getting good tips cause once that money is in the toke box they can't win it from the casino patron.

I think your great personality is what got you a better rating. Also if the floor guy comes by the table to update your rating card and you have a $500 bet out, then that's the number he's putting on your rating card even if the 5 bets before that were $50.

That could very well be it. I am still pretty surprised with my DIAD. How much, approximately, would one have to run through the tables in a day to attain it? I did not play any slots at Caesars which is where they said I reached it.

I thought, if anything, I might get Platinum in a Day at Paris for playing that WoF Slot combined with a lot of time in the HL room.

A couple of responses to some posts:

Tipping the dealers will DEFINITELY help your ratings. Having a nice personality and being friendly, fun, and polite helps too. Some pit bosses are dual rates, who also deal, and most pit bosses (no tall) started off as a dealers, so they appreciate players who tip.

As a diamond member, you can bring 1 other guest with you to the diamond lounge, unless a host can increase it for particular occasions.

In terms of buffet line passes, you can take as many people as you like. No, the Diamond player does not have to pay for everyone. I witnessed this one time at Rio where a Platinum member brought her entourage of 9 people and each one paid individually with their credit card. It took like 15 mins. for the cashier to finish their group. By then, several people behind me left.

AS for the OP, I always enjoy reading TRs where the player just can't seem to lose. Only danger with this is that it sets a dangerous precedence in that now that you have played at the high green and some black chip levels, it may be really hard to step down to the $10 dollar limit. It will be great for comps, but not necessarily for your pocketbook, so be careful.

Enjoy your diamond status, but don't try to re-earn it. If it happens naturally, so be it, but chasing that status is not worth it, IMO.

    Great trip report!

Loved the day by day delayed trip report. Gives those of us living the low life at our day to day job something to look forward to and break the hum drum.

I think I would love to hang with you and "your guys" in Vegas. It sounds definetly like my kinda crowd.

And there is NOTHING wrong with room service from time to time. On occasion, its truly the best option, especially when you are drunk. The phone is only feet away, and if you fall down in your room, no one is staring.

Makes me sad my trip to Vegas is SO FAR AWAY YET!

Hello Vegas.....we would like some more alcohol.....and some more beers.
