One box of medium sized binder clips does the trick, too.

I am surprised people have not complained or management has not addressed the issue.

Maybe I will say something when I visit if the light is a problem.

    If that does not work.

    I saw pictures on Oyster.com.

    Ken,

I'm curious: what is the Suncoast lineage? I always thought some rancher decided to build a hotel far down the strip, expecting the strip to extend all the way down. Hence, South Point. But, I see Suncoast mentioned a lot.

    What's the story here?

South Point was built by Coast Casinos (owned by Boyd Gaming) which owns Suncoast Casino.

    They look similar.

I never had any issues with the curtains...maybe they turn those lights off at a certain time in the morning 4-5am? IDK. You will enjoy SP. Remember $1games of bowling late night, the showroom gets some good acts and is a pretty nice place(check out YBR or Spazmatics if you like bands), the pastrami on Rye at Del Mar Deli is better than Carnegie @ Mirage, and you must check out the Tequilla bar by the entrance of Baja Miguels(second floor). The sundries store by the escalators has inexpensive booze(although a bit pricier than the liquor store very near there). Have a blast!

The selection of hookers has been increasing lately at SP

The mexican cafe is really good, buy noisy.

Parking on the weekends can be a pain.

Try the food specials across the street at the Blvd bar

Just returned from another 3 night stay at the South Point. Location really doesn't concern me, as I tend to never leave the hotel I'm staying in. This is the fourth visit in a row that I've stayed there.

I'd suggest checking out their website, they have several pictures on there and they are very representative of what the property looks like. I'm still recovering, so what I'm really trying to say is the rooms look like the pictures in contrast to a Big Mac on tv looking like a mess in real life.

Standard rooms are very spacious and clean, the suites are awesome.

As far as the young drunk question, I didn't notice any.

I stayed for one week and returned home last Wed.

I was there for a BMX National which participants are mostly under the age of 18 but adults race too!

I was actually double booked that week for a stay at Planet Hollywood as well but didn't use it.

Even with as many kids that were there, they were never a problem.

I'm sure you'll probably do some gambling and these areas are for adults only.

The rooms are large and clean with flat screen tv's.

The casino is very large with comfortable space between machines.

I don't know how decor can be a deciding factor for a stay at a hotel as long as it's clean and service is good.

This is the longest I've ever stayed there and would do it again.

If you want to stay on the south side of LV and with a more modern decor, you may want to try the M but you'll pay more.

I never noticed any young, rowdy drunks and I did play many nights until 4 or 5am.

Valet parking was quick and effecient. I've never had such good service except for Diamond service at Caesars and Rio.

I don't think you can stay at any hotel with a doubtful, negative attitude, you'll always find something wrong or maybe pleasantly surprised!

Yes, lot's of families, and senior citizens.

I personally find the interior of the Southpoint to be offputting. It's a combination of gaudy and old looking.

No Idea, as I never went to the pool.
