I got offered RFL or Freeplay (300$ ) at the aria by 2 different hosts at the aria. Also my betting average was 40 dollars with 35 hours(over 4 days) so why am i qualifying for such good offers?
40*80*35*.01 = $1,120 expected loss for your trip. They probably figure anyone playing for 35 hours over a 4 day period may have the propensity to gamble. They are hoping their offer gets you to "play up." It's also a possibility the pit critters liked you, and gave you a higher rating then you deserved.
Also the freeplay offer is only for 3 days comped while the rfl is for 4 days comped. So which would you choose? also would it most likely be 100$ per day (food) or more?
I would take the free play any day. With free play, there's a chance that you could turn it into cash, even more than the actual $300 they give you. Then you could spend that cash any way you want and eat anywhere you want, not just at the casino that you are staying at or at its sister props. It would seem like an easy choice to me, but I guess that's just me.
Yes and no. Assuming you are a slot player, then $300 in freeplay is the same as cash. You can spend their $300 or your $300. The machine could care less. If your normal food bill would be less than $300, then FP makes sense. If your regular food bill would be more than $300 and they were going to pay that amount, then great. If it is $100 per day over 3 days, and you spend at least $100, then it is a wash. If $100 a day over 4 days and you spend $100 or more, then food is better deal. Personally, unless the food offer is at least double, I would still take freeplay. I have so many express comps to cover food, I look at food as being free anyways. Heck, even if food was 3 times as much, the FP still works out for us. Can not use Express Comps to play the slot machine.
All of CETs and many of the MGM props offer free table play as play till you lose. It's like cash. I would take that over food credits any day. IF you have TR or express comps, you can use that toward food. Also, your play can factor into them taking more food off. IMO, free play beats food credit any day.
Am I the only one who thinks its strange that this is RFL **OR** Freeplay? All the offers I get from MGM properties usually start off with comp rooms then as you move up the comp ladder they start adding perks, where next is freeplay, then "extras" (IE: show tickets, buffet dinners, etc), and then finally food and beverage credit... But as you move up in comps I've never had them remove something prior that you should have gotten at a previous level, IE: when I get food and beverage I still get the free room and the freeplay and the extras. And usually the only choice I get to make is if I want my freeplay either for slot machines or table games. I'm kind of thinking if the OP might have misunderstood the offer and is actually getting both freeplay and food...
One offer is from a slot host... turns out it is 600$ food credit vs 300$ freeplay(slots) . Would i be able to eat in the other mgm hotels?
Probably not, but possibly. Also, watch those food credits. Lately they are so much PER DAY. So if you eat light one day, and heavy the next, you could still be spending money even though you are under $600. In my case, I would probably take the $300 since we have so much express comps.
Well, if you don't have a lot of express comps or you think your play level may not warrant food charges be taken off at the end of the trip, then I guess $600 in food credit will give you some nice meals.
