Howdy from Texas

Just wanted to post my introduction. I'm in the Houston area (actually a little south in the Friendswood/Clear Lake area) and just discovered these boards a few weeks ago. My wife and I started going to Vegas around 2007 and were instantly hooked! We wish we'd started going sooner. I've just been gorging myself with the wealth of information found on this board. Among my Vegas novice friends I'm considered quite a Vegas expert but compared to most of you not so much. As much as I use forums for all my other obsessions I can't believe I hadn't yet started reading them for Vegas stuff. I think I'd never found quite a perfect mix of what I wanted to know before. Between deals, reviews, coupons, comp/ADT explanations, I've learned SOO much on here in such a short time. This is the first time I've had a clue how my play and comps stacks up against a large sample of people (I'm defenitly a low roller btw...maybe very low). Thanks to all the informative posters and mods for such a great resource. Hopefully I can contribute when appropriate.

Which games do you enjoy? My husband loves craps, blackjack and poker. I play mostly roulette and videopoker with a little blackjack and slots thrown in.

Thank you for the nice words about our board. From the sounds of your intro I know you will fit right in. I know what you're saying about your knowledge of Vegas, I felt that way when I joined this board 10 years ago and I am still learning new things every day. Welcome aboard!

KellyLovesVegas: I play slots, BJ, and Holdem/Omaha - lately I've been to chicken for the poker room (due to some very "omg it has to be rigged!" online streaks) so I need to get back on that horse! *I've gotten a feel for roulette playing the video version but I'm not sure if I've got a firm enough handle on the strategy to play live. *Bac and Craps sound like fun but I haven't learned them yet. *My wife is strictly slots and vp with a venture to the BJ table once in a blue moon. *I also sometimes shy away from poker because it's always just the two of us in Vegas/Biloxi and she often doesn't like to stay in the same casino that long.

Sammo: next trip is Aug. 28th. * Countdown timer code is all ready to go. *Got it all figured out and then realized I needed 10 posts first! *Which is not as bothersome as having to proofread because I don't have the rights to edit yet! *LOL
