    My Trip Report

In car on way to airport. Staying at Cosmo 24th-29th. Looking forward to some heat. Detroit hasn't been bad lately, warm, but I'm really hoping for some 90's. Lol
The scheduled flight was 8:30 pm tonight. They changed the flight, so last minute I changed the flight to 11am, we took an extra vaca day and we off, change was free. Hell yeah.
So that how it starts, I don't drink in the am, but its just a thing i do when on vaca preflight . this is preflight, so the Bloody Mary is going down smooth.
Going forward, please forgive the dribble I may say, I'm probably drunk since its Vegas.

    Do I have any plans?
    Plans for trip, David Spade(fri),
Van Halen (sun), Gordon Ramsay, Ellis Island, Flavor Flavs Chicken Place, jump off strat,.…

My friends have given me a scavenger list:
    Men's 300 ring
Photo at Eiffel Tower at night
    Red Rock - rock
    Beads from rio
    Something that says lucky strikes
    Playboy bunny napkin
    Photo of a celebrity

Well see what we can get done,
Main goal is to have fun.....

For a celebrity photo where you are staying, I saw some LA Dodgers at the Cosmo a couple months ago. of course, they are less likely to be there during the season....

Not the vegas show. Just the later dates including the one I was meant to go to. Sigh.

    Finally bird landed.

Nice balcony room at Cosmo, seems the 20 trick worked to get upgraded.

Damn, I love the Cosmo balcony rooms. Originally they gave me a room facing south, just didn't do it for us, they kindly switched us over to a north facing room.
Also had the frig cleared for free, The girl at desk said, oh you need it for medicine, wink wink. Yeap, liquid medicine, lol.

We're off to Comme Ca, to use out groupon.

Comme Ca, was ok. The shrimp cocktail $22, had 6 medium shrimp. They tasted ok, so let's hold the judgment for the meal. I had the brisket. Which I know is tough to cook, but after being assured by staff it would be butter tender, I found it a little tough and oddly reminded me of a roast beef. The Gf had Steak frites, it was very rubbery. The bite I had, I couldnt even finish chewing and had to spit out. The staff was very friendly and nice. Boy that was a tough one, I wanted to like the place. The patio seating is very nice and the food presentation was very nice. It's a hard sell without the groupon and the bottle of wine.

Well that's was last nights post, oops someone passed out after that bottle of wine.

The presentation for Comme Ca was very nice

Started yesterday with room service at Cosmo ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338043738.650810.jpg

The breakfast burrito was good and service was fast. Cost about $36, for burrito and small pot of coffee.
By now it's been 20hrs since we have been in Vegas without rolling any dice. First stop of the morning was the craps table. Before going any further lets just say, things get ugly from here. I bounced around to a few different tables at, Cosmo, Belliago, flamingo, Paris, Caesars, Bills and even my old faithful Casino Royal. I couldn't win for losing. I took a break mid-day to hang out at pool, the 40 mph winds didn't make it too enjoyable.
We went to Gordon Ramsay's steak. Even that couldn't change my luck. His new Vegas place is ok,

My steak which I ordered medium rare, was far from it, almost burnt tasting. The second one was ok. It was just not juicy and very dry. Maybe I was just wrapped up into hype of the place and expected to much. Both of us felt it was ok. Seems like allot of funny little things they do to make it an experience, like the meat cart.
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338045500.866496.jpg The end of the day a restaurant is judged on the food, you could have clowns freaking people out serving the food, if the food is good that's what u remember. Although it'd be tough to forget clowns,. Lol...
So off to David Spade. Spade wasn't bad, but I think Kevin Farley who was the opener was better. It's was good for a few laughs. I wouldn't recommend the show to others. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338044827.878230.jpg
So that's a wrap of day two. A crappy day in vegas is still better then sitting in the cubical farm at home, lol. Tomorrow will be better. Shake off the day and move on. Thinking of switching it up and maybe trying downtown.

So here's something funny. Since I'm constantly approached by the porn slappers, I have starting taking pictures of them. I don't understand Spanish, but I think it upsets them.

Hah, that is great. I normally ignore them, but that is a great idea. I thunk that would work with cabbys too.

    How was the VH show?

Saw them @ MSG on the 2007 tour and they rocked but they sound way better in 2012.

The new album is effing fantastic.
