    My Trip Report

Well once more into the breech as they say. While it still hurts to sit, undaunted I will press on. I had thought about calling this the trip that shouldn't be in lieu of my last bath a couple weeks ago but it was already bought and paid and I didn't want to lose out on my $140 flight!

An associate and I (not Beejay unless he pulls a surprise appearance) shall be embarking on a short flight on Friday arriving around 9:30 pm. We have pooled his Platinum and my Diamond to get a mini suite at Harrah's. I have never stayed there in all these years so I guess we shall see what it is like. We aare already planning on hitting the Flamingo Go pool on Saturday and Sunday as the pool at Harrah's is one of the worst.

Some of the things on the agenda:

    - Winning (for once)
    - A little time at the Voodo Lounge
    - Winning
    - Poker at MGM, Venetian, Mirage, and Bally's with the possibility of Caesers thrown in.
    - Winning
    - GO Pool
    - Winning

And.....in the spirit of the new thread....a trip across the street to TI and Gilleys. For those who are not aware, the sign outside the Frontier used to have the caption "Cold Beer and Dirty Girls" on it. I think this had something to do with....cold beer and dirty girls???? They did used to have bikini bull riding and mud wrestling. All class, I know. I figure a couple $12 drinks will be waaaay cheaper than DDBP.

Updates will be a little more frequent on this trip as my phone is repaired. Not Beejay frequent but I'm gonna try to make things just a bit more live!

And even though I seem to be too drunk to remember, we are going to put $20 each into that Lions Progressive and perhaps see a lion chase a trainer for lunch.

I like the GO pool. But then again, the last time I went it was still a topless pool. But, no one was topless at the time anyway. Still I enjoyed it better than the regular area, less kidlets.

Looking forward to the Gilley's thoughts, they've actually done a fair bit on their website for what they have going on each night.

Just a quick FYI--as I stay at Harrahs a few nights each trip.
If you are actually booked in the mini-suite try to get upgraded to the petite suite .
It is larger and a bit nicer--I like it and that is where I usually stay when at Harrahs.
Have a great time-LOL-and hit the big one

My advice for winning is skip the steak n eggs at Harrah's while Mr. 5&9 repeats the year's hottest craps roll from Harrah's in July.

I am sorry I won't be able to be there live as I currently have 7 working days left and can't escape this coming weekend. I will be there in spirit though willing you to hit the Chasers $4000 royal so you can grace us with your presence in October.

Either way I bid you good luck so that you can be properly bankroll in December. Make this trip a BANKROLL BUILDER!!!!

I stayed at Harrah's couple yrs ago, deluxe suite, with a gal pal.....suited us both fine, clean , and enough room for us both..... was in the Mardi Gras tower, so was nice to leave the elevator and be on the casino floor ..... very nice first thing in the morning , playing the machines and having a baileys coffee lol Staff was great , also :)

Well it is the morning before and I had a brutal sleep last night. Was supposed to have the morning off so I was well rested but that didn't work out too well. I now have to sit through a meeting all morning. That is a far cry from sleeping in.

There are no limo's to pick me up but we will be on our way a shortly after lunch.

I hate starting off the trip on 6 hours sleep! I'm thinking Dramamine for the plane ride or even the trip to the airport so I can hit the ground chugging.

I youtube'd the bikini bull riding thing. It's basically what you'd expect it would be, but still pretty entertaining. As long as the cover charge isn't absurd, I think it'd be a good break from plowing money into the tables.....

see if you can pull a royal out of your ass for a change! and try to time it during a short $100 chasing session on the dollar machines so you can come in two weeks!

tell T I said good luck and hope he keeps hitting those 5's and 9's. I ended up taking today off due to a jumper delaying my train 85 minutes and I would be lying to you if I said I didn't price out a ticket for today returning sunday. Wife's got me by the nuts though as I have to watch the kiddos all weekend while she galavantes around in style at the spa and mall and dinner with the girls.

such is the price of the dedicated vegas visitor.

Yeah I would say you have it nice and watching the kiddos all weekend is a small price to pay to the Vegas degen gods.

My meeting is over. I am having a snack before departure to airport and a quick stop at the bank for some money.

It will be a luxurious drive the the Rocky Mountains before we hit the Kalispell airport. Should be a nice Fall drive. The sun is shining and all indicators are set for win. Taking about half the usual bankroll in an attempt to stop the big swings. I will only lose control if I hit that damn Fire Bet.

More to come........We do not actually arrive for about 8 hours.

Beejay...there will be one chase on one machine this time. One lone $100 bill on a dollar machine. Text me if you feel it baby and I will play at the location of your suggestion. You are the luckiest guy I know.

you might sing a different tune had you been on that April bloodbath. I am going to be honest with you, I think the longer you play a higher level the easier it is to "stay" at that level and the harder to jump back down. I would only do $20 at a time on dollars, say $20 each morning and another $20 each evening over the trip for a total of $100. I would do just 4 hand each time and take whatever that gives you, be it a $45 boat or $25 flush or whatever.

Overall you will be spending the same amount but you won't get AS addicted to the higher amount and you'll have another higher session to look forward to later.

I used this method on $5 play last trip and I didn't blow back in as much.

Now the most important thing is which machines to play that $100, $20 at a time on.

I am going to have to recommend the following:

Bill's---the machine I hit that $8K royal on in July.
Casino Royale---the bank of 6 machines, middle machine, opposite side from the bar.
Bellagio---dollar machines near the bar we usually play at. machine on the main aisle facing away from the cashiers cage. It should have the screen a bit askew so part of one card is cut off.
Bally's---that bar we usually play at, not sully's. the side towards the casino, not the shitters, machine right across from the bartenders cash register.
Golden Gate---machine at the bar directly facing the center of the flat screen behind the bar.

all of these machines should have a $1 option. you are guaranteed to hit at least quad aces with kicker on one of the 20 hands. whatever you win cash it out and play away at quarters and in the poker room.

I'll FB this to you as well. If I text it, it might cost you $100 in canadian texting rates.

Take em down Gaggles. Just a reminder that the GO pool is no longer topless. Based on my visits, that is probably a blessing.
