When Allegiant 1st came to Billings a buddy and I tried the 65 hour trip with no room. Got to Vegas around 23OO on Thursday, and flight back was at 1600 on Sunday, I made it till Saturday night than had to get a room at the Plaza. No sleep and booze for about 48hrs I had Vegas lag for a week.

will not let you sleep at the Pool or at the Sportsbook.

    1. They are not sure if you are dead.
    2. Other guests do not like seeing sleeping/maybe dead people
    3. The homeless always try to pull this stuff.

Surprised you slept in the Sportsbook that long.

It was hardly sleeping. I kept moving around and adjusting my pose. Most of the time I had my hand over my face.

It was almost like a pose like I'm upset that I just lost a lot of money. Since I really did just lose a lot of money i played it off well.

The best bet would probably be to wait till the pool actually opens get into swimming trunks then take a nap and work on your tan. Just don't forget to flip over and put sunscreen on.

or even try to sleep at the sports book or pool lol I'm just chicken that way
and being a middle aged woman, those paramedics might show up heh

Since nobody else has...I really want to call BS on this story. If you're playing 30/60 or even 20/40 then you are exposing your entire bankroll (if not more than you actually had with you) every time you sat down. Anybody with half a brain in poker would never touch one of those games without a substantial bankroll. Also, you would be hard pressed to find either of those games running back in 2007 at those properties. Now change that to 3/6 and 2/4 and it makes sense given your bankroll. It looks to me like you added a 0 to the limits you played.

Also, please find me a table in Vegas where they will let you sit out and then continually enter mid-shoe. You might get away with it for a bit but eventually they will ask you to start at the beginning or ask you to get up from the table. That's the most blatant sign of "look at me I'm counting cards" that there is.

I assure you my story is real. 20/40 was at the Mirage and 30/60 was at the Wynn.

The blackjack table I played at was the one right next to the poker area and the Beatles Cirque du Soleil.

FWIW It was thursday around 1-6am when I was "wonging it" I was very quiet and looked disinterested and the other people at the table was drunk sorority boys. Perhaps all of that was to my advantage. I assure you i did this at the Mirage and the lady commented stuff like "Sitting out again right?" "let me guess.sitting out?" etc nobody told me to stop.

I think the fact that I wasn't ranging my bets all that much stayed in my favor I pretty much was sticking with my original bet unless the deck got really hot then I'd bet a green or two more.

I can remember a trip where I stayed up 24 hrs after
    arriving in Vegas.
I left after Friday's workday to get my evening flight-
so, I was REALLY tired from work ( the previous day )
I went into The Golden Gate bar at 7am or so --
    to watch Wimbledon Tennis.
Before I knew it......Security was telling me "No sleeping
    at the bar,sir. ":nono:
The guy was kinda laughing + I was SO embarassed !
But I was lucky....I could have fallen right off the high stools !
It was time for bed !......I did not sleep at McCarran.

I can't see the casino sweating anyone playing under a few black chips a hand, even if they are counting, they aren't doing it for a living at that level and certainly not hurting the casino. Clearly at this bankroll and bet level the variance would nail most eventually even in a positive environment---and it did!

I thought his bankroll to bet descriptions were consistent with his "taking a shot" type approach throughout the tr. Shit I would have to be a mulit-millionaire to be properly bankrolled for some of the stupid bets I've made.

I cannot conceive of going to Vegas (or anywhere else) without a room for each night I was there. As cheap as most Vegas rooms are I'd always want the option of surrending to the room and bed. Hope you learned a lesson on this one shipmate - you need an "out" if things go south! :D

I think this falls into the category of the adventure being a big part of the trip. Sometimes plans like this sound great on paper, but they dont execute well. I remember flying back east on a red eye thinking I would sleep on the plane and wake up at JFK all rested. Didnt sleep a wink on the plane. I got to JFK, and finally slept on one of those concrete benches clutching my luggage waiting for my connecting flight. Now I slap myself everytime I come up with that great idea to save money by taking a red eye....

But, that all being said, every trip should be an adventure, and this one sounds like a great one. If he had won instead of losing, we would all be calling him a hero... it is hard to make good decisions when you are exhausted though..

Man I know the feeling of being super tired and waiting for your room to be ready. I go hard in Vegas, but have always had a room booked lol. As for sleeping in airports I used to have a job which I traveled a fair bit and got used to taking cat naps at my gate, although never 7 hours early lol.

    ????

While reading this I was thinking: Each hand you are playing enough to buy you a hotel room, yet you will not get one. This makes no sense to me. I get it if you are playing 5-10 per hand.
