    My Trip Report

    Yessss!

Finally getting a trip out to Vegas after my last trip that I can’t remember. I am based in NYC and go to AC from time to time

One of my friends is already out in Vegas(he got there Tuesday) for a work conference so I decided to come along for some fun, sun and hopefully to win lol (tried to think of a rhyming word but my brain isn’t working lol)

Will try to update this all in real time :)

“Why didn’t you fly out on Tuesday with your friend?!?”
Well, that was my original plan! But as I was booking the Tuesday flight, I checked my work calendar and realized I had to go to Wilmington DE today for a presentation(Apr 11) so I couldn’t fly out on Tuesday and had to fly out today instead.

So I took the Acela down to Wilmington this morning, did 2 back to back presentations and then headed back on a regional train to Newark

To give you an idea of the timing for everything:
My presentations were set to start at 11 and end at 1
My train back from Wilmington was set for 1:30 and was going to arrive at Newark Penn St at 3pm
Flight was boarding at 4:45PM. (Wish there was a later train because I hate wasting time in the airport but the next train would have been very close to boarding)

I was heading to train station and I get an alert that my flight is delayed (boooo!)
Get to the train station and my train was delayed (Booooooo!)

Oh well, got to Newark Penn, took another train to Newark airport and then just started to work since I had about an hour

Flew out of Terminal A (which looks amazing after all the renovations)

Grabbed tacos from Carlitos near the kids park(near gates A19-a21) but forgot to grab a pic

Boarding happened quickly and now I am in the air✈️

it has been a bumpy ride and they have had the sealtbelt sign in for the entire flight so far

Sometimes on flights, I just let a movie I have seen before play with subtitles. I’d rather watch newer movies on a TV sized screen be the smaller airplane screen

Hangover on the way to Vegas? YES! Haha

My friend got a room at Paris I think and then tomorrow we will move to MGM. I think I had the room comped except for Saturday night.

Borgata always gives me comped rooms but I had taken a few weeks off so that might have been why I didn’t have a completely comped stay

I play at Borgata and made gold last year
I also play at Harrahs AC and made Diamond for CET

I read a diff thread that says to match MGM gold to FB and then match that to Wynn so will get that done while I am here!

No real plans yet in terms of dinner, activities, shows, etc lol

Oh and also, my friend lost more than he wanted the first day he got here so he said he might leave on Friday. He also cut up his ATM card so he wouldn’t be tempted haha

If that happens, I could just play poker all day haha so will get a lay of the land once I land

Tell your friend that if his ATM card is from a major bank, he can easily go to a bank branch in Vegas to get money without the ATM card, and save some ATM fees.

It wasn’t the fees lol. He doesn’t want to withdraw anymore and says he lacks the discipline to not withdraw hahaha

whenever we start drinking and gambling, he gives me a set of rules that I’m supposed to follow like “don’t lend me money” lol

Last night we did dinner at Morimoto and we just sat the bar. I went with the Angry Chicken and he did the Tempura Shrimp. Not sure if i should have went with a different dish but it was good.

My buddy wasn’t feeling well last night so he went to bed right after dinner. So I was on my own for the night

Played some crapless craps at MGM Grand - $25 min

A guy walks up while I’m shooting and says that he has played before but needs a refresher on everything. So I am giving him a refresher as I’m shooting. He buys in first for 40 but then realizes he needs a little more so he buys in for another 100. I start with 200

I’m the shooter and my first point was like a 5 or 6 and boom, hit it on the first roll lol

Next point was a 12 and I was going to put odds but they pushed the dice to me and my brain malfunctioned. Boom hit the 12 on my first roll haha

We keep hitting points and not getting destroyed when big red shows up. I keep reminding him that it’s not always like this hahaha. Did some bets for the dealer and my new friend also did so the dealers made some money with us (they were kind of bored before I actually bought in)

at some point, the pit mgr taps the dealer to my left to show him the minimum has gone up to 50. The person 7ed out right then lol

My brain malfunctions again‍♀️and I tell my new friend the minimum is going up to 50 and that he should run with his profit(this is not true as we are grandfathered in)
He had ran his 140 up to 450 and colored up
I ran my 200 up to 800 and also colored up

We were still watching the shooter and the dealer says to my new friend “you can still pay $25” and reminds us that we are grandfathered in

I tell him that he made some money and should probably leave but he said he was here to have fun lol

He ended up losing it all
I ended up losing 200 of the profit and then just gave up lol
