Strip up 12.4 percent and downtown up 2.7 percent compared to 2/23 https://thenevadaindependent.com/article/super-bowl-plus-leap-day-propel-nevada-casinos-to-record-february
Seems about right. The Super Bowl crowd skews richer and that favors table games and that increased 30.3%. Slots are more grinding out and that benefited by the 9.5% increase in visitors, though total visitors hours is more important that total visitors. An important note for casino companies was this "The average daily hotel room rate in February was a record-breaking $248.35, a 40.6 percent increase", a lot of profit with this number. I would guess that food and beverage also saw very good increases. The last 2 paragraphs of the article show how unimportant the sportsbook, especially the physical area, is in the grand scheme of LV, even with a local Super Bowl.
My take is that events such as Super Bowl contribute a lot to the hospitality, Food/Drink, and entertainment side, not so much to gaming side. More or less expected.
I dont think it is just an audience bias towards table games. When you fill a casino to the gills table mins cam be jacked up and the best rule tables done away with on the fly. But a nickel slot is a nickel slot and i think it would be a logistical problem to adjust the hold for a busy weekend then bring it back up. Thus table games have more room to scale too
Lunar New Year was also celebrated the weekend after Superbowl. So table minimums would have scaled up for many casinos.
