Hoping for some help as I've never stayed at NYNY and reserved for April. I reserved a Soho King Premiere but wondering preferable location what tower is the best...convenient to casino ect... also watching you tube videos some Soho King Premiere rooms have loveseat couch and some only chairs? Some rooms apear to be bigger? Thanks for any advice on NYNY.

@cyndyga - my thoughts. I prefer the Empire Tower first but it’s tougher to get because it’s a smaller tower. There are strip views in that tower and it’s near the pool, check in, the parking garage and a short walk from the casino. The New Yorker tower would be my second choice. It is a larger tower with more elevators but the elevator banks can get crowded. It’s closer to the casino and on property restaurants but further from the pool.

The New Yorker tower has an elevator bank that connects to the arcade which in turn connects to the parking lot. There are two New Yorker towers A and B. I prefer A because the elevators are less crowded.

The shape of the NYNY hotel (NY skyline) causes the rooms to sometimes be larger or smaller even if you get the same room type but different rooms over two trips.

The casino is small, ~ 84,000 square feet, so pretty much all rooms are close to the casino

I attached and white circled a property map showing the Empire and New Yorker towers.

ETA: Feel free to ask more questions. I was there last weekend.

Thanks @JaDubya I wonder if the staff has any idea of the size of the rooms?... I noticed same class of room different sizes... I won't be needing parking garage but maybe pool once...I will avoid New Yorker b then ...I do like closer to a elevator,

Full disclosure. The NYNY pool is small…really, really small. We used to get a cabana so we’d have a place for my family to hang out. My recollection (it’s been over 10 years since I was last there) the lounge chairs are tightly arranged. Also the backside of the pool can get some shade because the parking garage blocks the sun. I would go early.

I forgot to address this. Maybe someone in VIP or who has been there awhile knows the answer. Dunno if you will find a person with that level of expertise.

The Empire Tower room (pre remodel) had more windows but had this column by the windows.

Empire tower room plus the view.

NYNY doesn’t necessarily have separate towers. It’s essentially all 1 long zig zagging hallway. Empire, Century, New Yorker, and Chrysler are simply just names of the elevators. The separate elevators are just used for convenience to accessing different floors. Empire and Chrysler access the higher floors I think 35+ and the Century and New Yorker access the mass majority of all the other floors below.

The odd shape of the building makes some rooms in the same category smaller or larger than the next and that will be true across all room types and the suites. That’s due to the corners or shape in that section of the building to form the exterior facade. For instance I have had a regular soho that was larger than my soho premiers. I’ve also had soho premiers that were longer or wider. Furniture varies as well, I have had the chaise lounge in only 2 of the 4 premiers I’ve been in. Not every room is really the same there. Having the premier booked you will get the wood floors and a personal fridge along with more square feet (450+)

My favorite premier was room 18. It was technically located in the Empire shape of the building but was actually accessed by Century Tower elevators. It was the largest premier I’ve ever had there and had double windows. It had 2 queens but there are some that have kings. Here’s a map of the hall to show how the halls run and are not separated as towers:

Because I often play at Aria and eat at Park MGM, if I could pick a room, I would want one on one of the floor serviced by the northmost (Chrysler?) elevator, which there is never a line for.

Chrysler is my favorite wing. I love the easy access out the door to the strip.

+1 for Chrysler tower. Stayed in one of the new rooms there last April and loved it. Chrysler's furthest from check in but closest to strip, and when I was there it was completely quiet and I had zero wait time for the elevators, which is a big issue on Century.

New rooms are basic but nice, big upgrade from the ancient old room decor. Colorful and fun.

Get a room as far away from the roller coaster as possible.

I stayed in the Century Tower my first visit last summer. Close proximity to the pool and America. My preferences would be either Century or Empire towers. On the 18th floor, the roller coaster was somewhat noticeable, but more of a background noise (similar to hearing the water cannon from the fountain show when I'm at Paris).

One room I had off the Century elevators, yes it looked out to the roller coaster and north strip, had a corner angle, huge room, king bed, tv was almost too far away! Earlier this year was in the Chysler elevators, I think 35th floor, only 5 rooms on the floor, very quiet, nice to walk right outside, though I did have to go to the 33rd floor for ice.

    5 nights NYNY!!!

    I hope so too @cyndyga

I highly recommend a martini at the Chocolate Bar - $15 and worth every penny.

My room on the 42nd of the Empire Tower. There were only 5 rooms on the floor I believe so I was close the elevator. The elevator lobby had a great view and so did the other end of the hallway. Nobody was ever around.

You will definitely get Bank “A” if they have you down for high floor in New Yorker. A goes 26-34, B goes to Ground-17
