@Christina6001 home casino is the one you gamble at the most. I used to live in SoCal, but I primarily gambled at CP, which is why Rincon wasn’t my home casino. You should get an executive host, not a marketing host. Executive hosts are onsite at the CET properties, the marketing hosts are all over the country & aren’t tied to one location. An executive host will be the one to upgrade you to 7 Star. Next time you’re in Vegas, go to the Rewards desk & ask for the supervisor on duty, then ask them how you can be put in contact with the executive host manager so they can assign you a host.
This is a nearly ideal way to do this in terms of minimal time invested and minimal loss. You have the added upside of maintaining a fairly high ADT while doing this, which the system will like. Averaging 5000 TCs a day at CET video poker will generate some nice offers. Any humans looking closely at this play might be surprised—you only actually earned 20,000 TCs—but they should have no problem giving you Seven Stars. They want this type of play, you didn’t lean heavily on their resources, and the tier credit bonuses don’t cost them anything. If they give you Seven Stars, you will be back, and they assume you’re going to play this way again. Win win.
Here are my final data points for anyone else considering 7* in 4 trips (7x-5x-5x-5x) or 3 trips (10x-10x-10x) 3/6/24 Request Approved and officially 7* 3/5/24 Tropicana Laughlin Executive Casino Host submits the 7* request 3/4/24 5x TCs posted, putting me at 150K TC. E-mail sent to Tropicana Laughlin Executive Casino Host requesting upgrade to 7* 2/28/24 Received an email from Tropicana Laughlin Executive Casino Host 2/24/24 Completed 5x 5000 TC session at Harrah's Laughlin while staying at Tropicana Laughlin
Well done and informative, although I do admit the 7 Stars thread from a few years ago that was referenced in this thread, with all its drama, was one of my all time favorite VMB threads!
Ok. You are Seven Stars for 2024 and 2025. Now what? Use the perks and low/no play? Play more leisurely? Any ideas on which properties you will choose for your Seveb Stars trips?
This is a good question. By achieving the status in the first 2 months you now have 10 months left in the year. I assume you pushed hard on the multipliers so that you did not have to play on regular days to hit the status. If you were focused on getting 7Star any more play for the year is "wasted" and maybe you should have spaced out the trips a bit? If you play less now that you have so far you will ruin any offers/comps you get beside what the tier gets you. (Maybe that does not really matter as you will get 1-2 trips before they adjust comp offers and then a 7star trip and every 5000 tier credits earned get you a free night) If you stop going and now focus on a different program then arguably you earned a tier status to not take advantage of what it gives you. Or perhaps its about having the status for when you start up again on January 1st 2025? Where do you go from here?
^ but they don’t have to start again in ‘25. * 1st time 7* * gets all the benefits for ‘24 * qualifies now for ‘25 * gets all the benefits for ‘25 Good to go until ‘26 for all of that with no further play needed. Offers are really irrelevant in this computation, as far as I’m concerned, original poster may feel otherwise?
100% - and, as the poster above you even said themselves, OP's still going to get a bunch of free nights with the 'every 5000 TCs' even if they absolutely zero-play going forward. Not that I think OP will do that, but you know.
This is true if the assumption is that they don't plan to renew for 2026. BUT.. once you get something people often don't like to give it up If they want to maintain 7Stars moving forward rather then get the perks for 2 years then lose it, then they will have to start again in 2025. One of the strings programs like this pull is that once you have a benefit it feels bad to lose it. If you are used to not waiting in lines then standing in a 45 min line at a restaurant feels horrible. Obviously not worth what it costs but we get accustom to certain perks. Casinos are very aware of human behavior and while some are able to cut things easily for most it acts almost like an addiction to have certain status levels and the pull to maintain it can be a strong pull.
I am going to status match my 7* with Fontainebleau to collect on the $250 spa/$250 dining. Also status match with Resorts World & MGM for the upgraded quality of life. I will only use the perks if it coincides with a +EV offer such as tournaments or play-up reward for FreePlay/gift cards (but only if it's worth it). I will be forced to put my ADT at risk during the 7* retreat and $500 dining vouchers, which'll most likely be done during the busiest events such as NYE, SuperBowl, EDC, etc For the retreat, I am going as far away as possible from Las Vegas, so possibly New Jersey or Windsor. I briefly considered going for 500K TC for 7* elite on only multiplier days (or at least on 10x TC events only) but the incremental reward for the 500k TC risk seems hardly worth it. Actually, 7* isn't worth it either - it's probably more so of a status/accomplishment thing. The average joe is way better off getting the Wyndham Earner Business card for automatic diamond status. Diamond Plus (4 free daily drinks) & Diamond Elite ($600 airfare reimbursement) aren't worth the risk for the rewards. If there's another program that offers tier multipliers that are video poker friendly, I might pursue that for fun too. In the absence of that, I'm more of a tables game player, which I'll try to earn status for at Wynn/Venetian/MGM in the absence of tier matches. I'll probably renew again in 2026 again using only 10x TC days.
I see your Park Place card and raise you this hotel key that displays a different image depending on the angle (I forget the name for it).
Congrats on completing your quest, @thickestice. If you have a desire to maintain future offers, you could catch other multiplier days and consider going for 250k, since it’s “only” another 100k for a Signature Experience Credit ($500 resort credit or $450 freeplay). Thereafter, a Credit is every 250k, so the first 250k is the “cheapest” way to achieve the Credit. Agreed that 500k isn’t worth it. I had two opportunities to do the Signature Events with added benefits last year and I ended up missing all of them.
Would require two 10x multiplier days earning 5,000 Base TCs each 10,000 Base TCs earned = $100,000 coin in 1) Harrah Lake Tahoe 9-6 JoB (99.54%) $100,000 * 0.0046 theo loss = $460 2) Harrah Laughlin 8-5 BP (99.17%) $100,000 * 0.0083 theo loss = $830 3) Las Vegas 9-5 JoB (98.45%) $100,000 * 0.0155 theo loss = $1,550 would probably do it if i was in Tahoe, but there would be added costs and logistics in traveling to Tahoe too...
