For those with experience at both Wynn/Encore and The Cosmopolitan ...

I'm not a high-roller (typically receive four-night comp offers at the Cosmopolitan). If we took that same level of play to Wynn/Encore, could we expect something similar in terms of offers?

Not unhappy with The Cosmo -- love the place, actually -- but trying to avoid getting into a Vegas rut and would like to experience something new. My fear is moving my play to WynnCore and only receiving $25 in slot credit.

    Thanks for everyone's insight!

I don't know what your play is like, but I will assume our play is not comparable. So, in a broad and general sense, I have always found it a little easier to get better comps at Cosmo than Wynn.

Wynn gives me more fp and rc. But I can only get 3 days. Cosmo I can get up to a week. Pretty much gamble the same.

I've had better offers at Wynn in my experience.
However they recently reduced offers a lot for a bunch of people. (Though not for all.)
Their room occupancy/rates have been very high and some weekend days get blocked due to big demand.
My offers have always been for up to 3 nights.

Are you concerned Cosmo might fall out of your offers when they go under MGM this year?

Resorts World might be another option, though they like to exclude Frid/Sat. and had 3 nights on offers I've received.

Hard to tell without knowing your play or offers.

"four-night comp offers at the Cosmopolitan" is not a specific enough description of play level.

Actual stats, or at least what room type you can get at Cosmo and what amount of throw-ins you get there, are necessary.

Absent that, a typical first move would be to do a day's play at Wynn to see what you get and then take it from there.

I think most people would agree that Wynn requires the most play for a base room of all the majors on the strip, because they have the highest retail prices.

Slot credit is only one piece of the total value of an offer.

FWIW my offers all exclude Fri-Sat but when I actually try to book a weekend on the calendar it is no problem at all. I'm usually limited to Hilton over a weekend whereas it's Conrad during the week, that's the only difference.

Until Wynn decides to comp video poker play at the bars, I have no real desire to go back. They will survive without me and vice versa.

My offers from Wynn over the years have always been 3 free nights plus $500 or $1000 slot play and up to $800 RC. Usually a Tower Suite room but I have had suites a few times.

Cosmo has generally been up to 5 nights - plus a decent amount of free play - the most has been $6000 a few years ago (was a quite a surprise) and for my next trip $1925 - RC always lower at Cosmo. Wraparound suite but if I am solo I downgrade it.

Wynn all the way for out of state at least.

I am a little concerned about when Identity goes away and MGM Rewards fully takes over, but this is more about just wanting to try a new place.

    2023 Coin-in: $16K
Terrace Studio/One-bedroom Suite (definitely not in wraparound territory!)

$16k per trip average, or how many trips is that covering? That would make a huge difference.

    That's really borderline for Wynn.

I didn't stay at Cosmo last year, but I used to average $4k coin-in a night (although generally on low-hole % slots), I got 4-5 night offers with a couple hundred freeplay and a hundred or so resort credit. My max comped room type was the One Bedroom.

I mostly don't stay at Wynn because it's a little overkill for me. But I would't have expected to get as many nights from Wynn as I did from Cosmo. 3 nights in a base room maybe, that's the other reason I don't play there - I'm reasonably sure my play level isn't sufficient to get me the number of nights I need.

If your situation is you only go once a year, it's a dicier proposition to take the risk of either seeding Wynn by diverting bankroll from Cosmo or paying full boat for multiple nights and seeing what happens.

I hate staying at a hotel for one night but if you usually go more than once a year, you could try that too. Pay full boat on a cheap night, see if you can get any back-end and what you get for offers afterwards. If you have no history with them, you may luck out with a teaser offer and at least get one good stay out of it.

So, you're only generating around $120 a day in comps. For Wynn, you will likely get free room offers Sunday through Thursday. But even that, I doubt they would offer you five nights comped

Have you considered the Palms for something new
We have found the service second only to Wynn and the comps more generous then Cosmo

Interesting. I'm just not sure I'd want to stay off the strip -- even if it's just slightly. I have a big-time attachment to being right on the strip and the views. If I went more than 2-3 times a year, I'd probably be more inclined to experiment.

Wynncore i got more RC/FP than i did at Cosmo - i was platinum at Cosmo - . Cosmo was better on the back end when I was there and had a host. i am a 95% VP player - the VP paytables at Cosmo are better in my opinion .
Wynncore customer service is better than Cosmo
I like the overall less frenetic pace at Wynncore. Overall happy i decided to move
