They may ask you what your gambling (loss) limit is per day and for the trip total.

I asked them why that is, and they stated that once you hit your trip loss limit, you are not "required" to play any more.

Now, that assumes that the daily loss limit that you state meets their comp requirements. You can say that your daily/trip limits are $100/$500 and expect that you will NOT get a comp offer.

They took away the trips that I was interested in, so I diidn't converse with them any further.

I am leaving this weekend for a Royal Caribbean 7 night cruise that I got comped through URComped. I plan to do somewhat of a trip report, so I'll let you know how it is. The one thing you should know up front, when they say COMPED, that's your cruise and cabin. You still have to pay port fees (mine was $130 for the 7 nights) There is also a daily tipping fee, WIFI package if you want WIFI, Drink packages. I had to buy my flight to Miami. So my FREE cruise wasn't totally free, but still for a 7 night Western Caribbean cruise on a top tier RC ship, I think I got a great deal!

Looking forward to your trip report! We just took the offer for the RC out of Galveston end of April. Just paid fees of $73 per person but yes we still have to pay the rest like drink package etc...but still save over $1,500 from retail.

Got back a couple weeks ago from my first trip. It all worked well...and the UR Comped staff are nice.

Minir complaint - their systems are not real advanced.

When I booked online, I answered all sorts of questions about play what I wanted when I wanted etc.

Next day...host emails me and asks me every exact question, again.

I get back, and fill out a post cruise survey about my play and the instant certificate I was offered.

Next day...host emails and asks the same questions.

One hand doesn’t seem to talk to the other in the systems department.

My experience with URcomped hasn’t been great. They’ll verify my play and then forget. They seem to have all these minions running around doing work and you give them all this information, and then it finally gets up to some bigwig and they ask all the same questions over again. It’s actually quite frustrating because their communication is not very good.

The best Cruise Host who works with other land properties is Ken Froom Tours. I use him exclusively now for almost anything and anywhere.

Used Ken Froom for my last cruise on Celebrity Edge.
Fully comped through balcony.Very easy to work with.
    Follow up was excellent.
Unfortunately ,that was March 8-15 2020.We were lucky to get home as the world was shutting down.
Will use his company late this year if cruising starts again.

I was booked on Celebrity Infinity for this past new years through them (edit for clarity- them being URComped, not the other person mentioned...thinm I misread that initially), which obviously didnt work out, but when it was cancelled, Celebrity extended an offer through URComped to pick any cruise in 2021 on their line, anywhere in the world, and for any duration, as a replacement, and they were encouraging the B2B sailings of 12 to 17 days, offering same accommodations and free play. I thought that was pretty solid. I traded my 4 or 5 night Key West and Mexico cruise for a 7 night Alaska and Canadia cruise on a larger ship, and still got the balcony room (a better class one actually than my original booking) and the drinks and free play. We'll see if that happens by summer or not. But they have been great to work with in my personal experience, and I was shocked at the list of choices Celebrity extended for lift and shift options (they also offered to just refund fees and taxes etc but picking any cruise in the world seemed like a better option)

I use Ken Froom (Kenny) for all my casino trips everywhere. He’s the best in the business, and he’s responds to my texts at 4am. I don’t know how...

It will be interesting to see if urcomped.com survives C-19.

On my last trip dated Nov, 2019, I went to Vegas on an offer from Cosmo and I got a free cruise package for two. I got the certificate and the caveat is that I needed to book it by no later than Jan 31, 2020 for any trip that set sailed in 2020. I found that basically you could only use this on trips that were not as popular and at times when it was low season. Also, you had to pay the taxes, port fees and fuel surcharges (which is anywhere from $90-$150 a person). So really the cruise is not a free ride. I was a hair away from pulling the trigger on one that included two more family members where I'd have to pay full price on for them but decided at the last moment not to. Thank god I didn't book anything because COVID happened 2 months later. I think I'd be sitting here today had I booked with no refund from the cruise line and the airline that would fly all 4 of us to the port.

I had a land based certificate/cruise canceled last year. Celebrity was pretty good, let me reschedule for 2022, could have received a refund of fees instead. Have an Alaska cruise that likely won't happen this year unless there is (literally) an act of congress.

I think URcomped could get a lot of business with places wanting to fill up once travel restrictions open up more. Still a lot of unknowns.

Well, found URComped through here. Just completed booking my cruise. Looking forward to my trip in a few months. So far, URComped has been great. Easy to work with and highly recommended.

Just for those of you out there, I have been using independent hosts for a long time to go on cruises. Most of you know me as a respected member of this community, and I play high stakes. I have to say all my experiences with URComped have been very negative. They either didn’t follow up, didn’t get back to me, didn’t verify my play, etc etc…

Sorry to hear that, Naturaleight. I haven't checked in with URComped since before the pandemic and have no idea how they weathered the storm. I have mostly received positive feedback about them, so I hope this is an isolated incident and not a result of staffing or other issues.

Just wondering. What sort of play level are you at? For example, what sort of offers do you normally get in Vegas?

Following up on my first post about Ken Froom.
I have used them twice since my original post on the Celebrity Edge.
I get free balcony staterooms and typically some onboard credit.
Usually pay to upgrade to a suite which Celebrity calls the "Retreat"
Sailing again on 10/26 out of NJ on the new Beyond and Port Everglades for a cruise over Christmas on the Apex.

Not a high stakes player especially on cruise ships.
I'm mostly a craps player and they do not usually open the game until dinner time so that cuts down on hours played.
Avg rating of $350-$500 but on ships due to the schedule may only get in 60-90 minutes some days.
Port intensive itineraries make it difficult.
The difference from land based casinos is there will not be many back end comps. Pretty much everything is upfront.

Have not used the MGM Platinum benefit yet but I'm going to inquire what the deal is for a Mediterranean Cruise next year.

While I've explored URCompd, it's not a match for my particular situation. They have called me twice and been enthusiastic regarding my qualifications, asked me multiple times to complete their surveys, send Vegas offer documentation; in response, I only get minimal offers. Follow-up is nonchalant - theyve never contacted me after, I always have to contact them.
Example, initially "oh you should get some very nice offers." Then I'm offered lowest inside cabin categories , and the response is "well, then, that's all we can do."
URCompd is a small organization... I think they're nine or ten employees max. Their online presence is never much greater than this. I would have expected a little more attentiveness.
    Screenshot_20220823-134604_Facebook.jpg

No entity can design these programs perfectly for every potential customer. I've come to the conclusion that, as a west coast, solo traveler uninterested in Caribbean sailings, and only interested in upgrading to a balcony... it doesn't work for me.
    • The cost of airfare to an eastern/FL port, and 6 hours each way, isn't worth it - for me
    • They have limited west coast itineraries
    • When attempting to upgrade cabin categories, as a single, I must pay the upgrade fees for two. At that point, by comparison, I can get a better deal as a single in a balcony cabin for less on Cruise Critic.
That's not a condemnation of URCompd - they offer what they offer.... it's more about my particular situation and interests.

I get the same response as you @ReTriggerMe
I gave up on them long ago (and believe me; we’d take carribean cruises and we dump a good $1000 a day in the casino on a cruise)
I think it’s similar to a cruise casino players program..they give out FREE cruises when no one else is cruising..we’re on a very limited schedule (school holidays) and as such there is NEVER free cruises for then.
The best we’ve found is the voucher for princess from Stations or Venetian; those are TRUELY a free voucher (literally just a voucher for any time you want to go)
