    My Trip Report

It’s time once again for serenity now! Seinfeld reference that I always think of when going solo in Vegas.Time for a break from everyone back home and just do whatever I want! The plan is gambling, dining, shows, and more. Staying the first half at the Cosmo and second half at Wynn. My two favorites.

Taking a late flight from the east coast which should get me in around 11pm Pacific. This will be a semi-live trip report usually with large condensed updates. Viva Las Vegas!

Made it to Vegas safely! Long line for the rental car center. Waited about 20 minutes. Long line at Dollar. It was late so I said screw it and took a taxi to Cosmo. I don’t need a rental car that bad.

At Cosmo, had a bit of a wait to check in around midnight. Got an upgrade from the city room to a terrace studio in the Boulevard tower! Great room. Took a shower and crashed. It was 4am ET so I was well past done.

Woke up around 7am PT this morning. Enjoying a delicious breakfast at the Henry. The plan today is gambling, haircut at the Barbershop, hanging out mid Strip, and Beatles Love tonight!

Good morning Pinball! In for $100, out for $227. Bonus paid $165. $3/spin. Nice way to start the morning! ED68D86D-72AB-49C5-A75F-D181CF43B68F.jpeg

Spent a while in the casino at Cosmo. Great drink service as always. Early this morning there were $15 blackjack tables but I walked away for maybe 15 minutes and the same table was $25. I did see a $15 craps table. It’s nice playing early in the morning. You can get on pretty much any slot and move around fairly easy. Down after a few hours but not by much.

I’m seeing a lot of $15 minimums even on a Friday night.

The spa was great! Although I feel you are paying for the experience and facilities. You could probably get a similar massage at a Thai or reflexology place. It was very relaxing though.

Been really busy doing Vegas so I’ll write a full report while traveling home.

Sorry for the delay on the report but here goes!

I'll step back a bit to Friday. The experience at the Barbershop in the Cosmo was excellent. Got a great haircut along with waxing my ears and nose! Hurt like hell for a bit but worth it. Groom yourself men! Had Hattie B's for lunch. It was okay. Not as good as the first time. Got ready for the evening and to see Beatles Love at 7pm. Wandered the Strip and just soaked in Vegas!

Beatles Love was awesome! Definitely enjoyed all the sites and sounds. The Mirage was very busy after the show!

I was thinking about Mirage and how this will all be gone one day! So iconic. Played craps for a while at the Mirage. $15 minimums on a Friday night! Lasted about 30 minutes on $200. Still had a blast though.

Went to the Flamingo for a while and hung out at Bugsy's Bar. Enjoyed some interesting conversations with random people! Flamingo was packed and buzzing with activity. I love Vegas when it's heaving with people.

Stayed up late at the Cosmo playing slots, etc. Some decent wins but gave most of it back.

On Saturday, I slept late and had to rush to get packed to checkout of Cosmo by 11am and move to Wynn. Did that. Enjoyed the spa at Wynn around 1pm. The Wynn was busy as usual. The sports book was packed. On Friday, at Bellagio, I placed money line bets on Cincinnati and Buffalo to win their games and they came through! Won $80. It was fun to watch the Raiders play at the Wynn. Very fun crowd. Lots of chanting!

Saturday night, I ate at Sinatra over at Encore. Had the veal parmigiana. It was excellent but couldn't finish it! Such a big portion. I was really stuffed. Great dining experience. Had a Sinatra Smash for the first time and really enjoyed it.

I had tickets to see Whitney Cummings but I bailed. The first "warm-up" act was not my cup of tea. Just wasn't feeling it. The theater was completely full. Played some more at the Wynn. Mainly slots and video poker. There is a small bank of Ultimate X machines near the B bar that I like to play.

Had some nice little wins on @Flowers Dollar Storm!

On Sunday, I tried the Wynn Buffet for the first time for breakfast. It was very nice but probably won't do it again. The eggs were kind of cold once I started eating. The quality and service was great overall though. I didn't eat a whole lot. I actually would prefer Terrace Pointe or Jardin. To each his own! I then went to Fashion Show Mall to do some shopping for the family. Love that mall. It has everything!

Went back to the Wynn and watched the NFL games off and on. Around 5:30pm, I got a taxi to see Rich Little at the Tropicana. I wanted to see him before he's gone. He's 82 now. I remember him from the 70s/80s and always thought his impressions were funny. I haven't been to the Tropicana in many years. Oh boy. It's a sad place. The casino is so small and the place just feels so old school which some people may like. I feel like people that are staying there are there by mistake. Like they knew nothing about Vegas and saw a cheap rate for it. It was very empty is some parts. I think I have a phobia of large open spaces where there is no one. A feeling like I shouldn't be there. Anyway, the Laugh Factory definitely has that old school comedy club vibe. An older gentleman in a tux, seated me near the front as I was kind of early. Got a drink at the bar in the back. Everyone was very friendly. I think there were about 30 or so people in the crowd. Rich's show was interesting. He definitely does some impressions spot on, others not so much. He's also very Republican. So if you like jokes about Biden, Kamala Harris, and the Democrats you will love it! Thankfully there were only a few of them. He showed lots of clips from the 70s which were great. His routine is part charming/quaint and part awful. It's definitely for the over 50 crowd and he recognizes that. It's cool to see a living legend though who knew so many celebrities over the years.

After the show, I got the heck out of there and back to the Cosmo. Met up with some friends and had a great dinner.

Next morning, I headed home. Overall, a great trip. I took a large bankroll and ended up coming back with 2/3 of it so that's a win in my book! Not sure when I'll be back. I've gone to Vegas five times since 2020 and done about everything I've wanted to do. I've obsessed over Vegas for the past 2 years. Watching all the Vegas vlogs, live streams, etc almost every week. Kind of getting burned out on it. Also, I find myself getting more focused on certain resorts and staying in specific areas that I like. For example, I did not go Downtown this trip. I really prefer being mid-Strip where the most activity is located. I've stayed many places but seem to prefer the Cosmo and Wynn primarily (stayed at those resorts the most). Mainly due to the level of quality and service at those places. Wynn is the best but is really too far north for my taste. Cosmo or anything mid-Strip will probably be my home from now on.

    Thanks for reading!
