Planning on doing an early DEC trip and was wondering if there are any buffets now open with lobster.
Already made reservations for the Bacchanal but was wondering on others.
    TIA

The only “buffet” I was aware that had lobster regularly was the Sterling Brunch ( which is probably a memory now) on weekends, pre-pandemic. I don’t think any have it now, nor do will they.

The only place besides Sterling was the Rio seafood buffet, but those were slipper lobster tails (which are small and probably not what you're thinking of when you hear "lobster tails"), though you could pay more for the bigger Maine lobsters. However, that part of the Rio buffet is long gone and unlikely to return; Sterling is still "temporarily closed", but the combination of "temporarily" and the fact that they still list it on the website gives me hope, though there's no real way to say for sure.

Went to Bacchanal recently and it was just claws/knuckles. They had a good variety of seafood though.

Someone reported a bit back the Bellagio buffet had some on a weekend, but not sure if it is consistent.

Lobster eggs Benedict at the Wynn buffet but I couldn't taste any lobster. The lobster claws at Bacchanal were cold and didn't seem fresh the two times I tried them. Second time I tried to warm them up in pho soup but they were not worth the trouble.

I would forget about Bellagio for lobster if they even had them. Seems lately they don't even have crab legs. Go for the other stuff.

None on the strip but this may be worth the trip. Friday dinner only, and if you sign up for a player's card I think you get 50% off your first meal.

Being from Beantown, you might want to get your fill of Lobster before you depart for Vegas. :woohoo:

The ones you get at a Buffet are most likely frozen warm water tails from the Bahamas that are cooked en-mass and placed in a steam table.

You'll need a time machine too. Due to the supply shortage, they are impossible to find.

One positive for Sterling Buffet is that STK is still intact. All the seating is still there. Most other closed restaurants are behind construction walls, but STK still just has a rope and a sign. There may be hope.

You aren't missing out. The Silverton buffet is still closed anyways.

My review of the currently closed Silverton lobster buffet:

Ok. Review. They texted me 2 hours after signing in.
Silverton lobster buffet does a lot of different seafood dishes but none seem outstanding. The lobster was bland, not sweet. But they had lobster Mac & Ch and several oyster dishes. I liked the broiled ones best but only one on the tray wasn't dried out. The fried oysters were very good. All kinds of shrimp and clam dishes. Snow crabs which they'll saute for you.
Basically, don't come for the lobster but do come if you want a real cornucopia of seafood dishes. [IMG] [IMG]
