It was nice to walk up only $500 down on the trip after being down $2300 yesterday morning. @lousyatcraps kept saying, “Just wait ‘til I get there’” and he was right! After he arrived we did well in our tiny group of two slot pull.

Geotwink and I have to change rooms today, so goodbye fountain view. I stopped in to see the host on duty last night and once again was told that nothing could be comped off, grr.

Going to try to be at the Sportsbook by 9:00, hopefully on the corner machine, for football Sunday with Brannon.

My kiddo walked by as I was reading and spotted that 007 slot machine photo. He wanted to see a video of it, so I found one on youtube, lol.

I did see a Verbena served at Chandelier when I was there two weeks ago....some guy came up and asked for the drink with the flower, and the bartender made it for him, and told him to eat the flower. Didn't catch that bartender's name, but he made a great Aperol Spritz!

 

Bleah, lost a 4-team tease when Chargers-Ravens went under 45. But won on the Packers and Chiefs, hoping the Vikings cover the 2. Finally got a couple winners here though on VP.

 

We enjoyed Mesa Verde when we went. They had some paths closed because of erosion but it was impressive to see the dwellings they built.

 

HL? Where's the wagyu? champagne flutes?

 

Worst run ever? Lost $4k in HL slots and got maybe $4600 worth of play out of that. I could have eaten my money and gotten more enjoyment out of it.

And Cosmo continues to not comp me any of my food charges on the back end. Really frustrating and has me considering why I continue to dump money here when the machine paybacks on my card appears to be perpetually 15%.

 

Read my last trip report..continually same thing for us..way back in 2017, Cosmo was BANGIN for us..but since 2018; it’s been literally a complete bloodbath there every time. (If $5000 got us $10000 coin-in; it’d be a miracle)

 

Only highlight of yesterday was dinner at Zuma, and a pleasure to meet @44inarow for the first time! He’s like David Letterman…quick witted and even regaled us with a Top 10 worst Uber story list. Now I feel like a true board member!!

 

A microcosm of my gambling. Put $100 in a Bond machine, play $2.70 per spin. When my money was gone 5 minutes later, I had accumulated winnings of $9.40 during my spins. Repeat this at various games and spin denominations for 2-3 hours. I can’t even accrue any time on the machines because I can’t even accrue pity wins to keep me playing. There’s variance I understand, but this is ridiculous.

 

Pleasure was all mine! And I've certainly been compared to worse before...

Today starts the comeback.

 

@44inarow how many people, if you had to guess, would you say you’ve met from VMB? Also, we should meet for a drink when I’m there, everyone always talks about what a good guy you are, and host, etc.
