Best 70s/80s sitcom intro?

Does this mean situational comedy (sitcom) or just a series? I thought Dallas was just dumb but not necessarily funny….

 

Valid question. Situational comedies and series, as long as they fall within the 70s and 80s are eligible for this absurd thread!

 

Ok then I retract my condemnation of Dallas…..it fits, just

Six Million Dollar Man (The Bionic Woman), Eight is Enough, James at 15/16, Family, The Night Stalker, Charlie's Angels, Starsky & Hutch, Three's Company, Too Close for Comfort, Taxi, Mork & Mindy, St. Elsewhere, Soap, The Greatest American Hero, Alf, Diff'rent Strokes, Magnum P.I., Scooby Doo, Superfriends, SNL. I also remember Almost Anything Goes and Battle of the Network Stars.

I was a kid, and I had a tape recorder which I used to record the theme songs of all these shows. Now I reminisce on YouTube.

 

I love the theme from Newhart (Henry Mancini, Arranger).

 

How did I miss this?! I’m ashamed!

 

My favorite theme is Greatest American Hero.
