    My Trip Report

Time for my 5th trip to Vegas (1st time this year)

We have two nights at TI (second is a burner). Just staying for the $200 in FP. One night at El Cortez is a burner for our trip to Laughlin (staying a Harrah’s). This will be our first time staying at the Vdara.

Also of note, while we are in our early 40s, we party like we are 70 in Vegas. Stay on East Coast time. Up between 5-7AM and in our room by 8-9PM.

Direct flight from DTW to LAS. Rental through Avis (instead of Enterprise) due to higher rental prices.

Food: Pizza Rock and Coney Island are musts every trip, so I expect we will go there at least twice. Likely go back to Buddy V’s for some great Italian food and Public House for their wings. Looking to try some new places as well: Bootleggers, Road Kill Cafe, Excalibur and MGM buffets.

Also looking for great desserts. My wife will be getting something from Carlo’s Bakery while we are at Buddy V’s. We will likely check out the Sugar Factory, Freeds Bakery, Donut Bar and other places.

We don’t plan much gambling on the strip now that craps minimums are $15 (or more) at most places. Plans to go to Ellis Island, Jerry’s Nugget, Cannery and South point. We plan to go downtown quite a bit as well. I’m expecting to try Downtown Grand for the first time as I understand they have the cheapest craps. We hope to try out Suncoast, Sunset Station, Railroad Pass and Club Fortune for the first time. We may try Cosmo just to get some Secret Pizza as it doesn’t seem like our type of place.

We have a modest $400 per day and will carry over anything left from the previous day. We have a bit extra for the first day as we always try to go a little crazy. Wife will be playing mostly slots and keno. We will likely hit up an escape room, check out Casino Quest maybe hit the Pinball Hall of Fame and other wacky adventures!

I plan to spend some time at the eSports Arena at Luxor either watching some eSports or playing some League of Legends in their gigantic computer center. I enjoyed it last time and it was a great break from gambling.

I will also be going to WWE SUMMERSLAM on Saturday! Super excited! If I’m able to take some pictures, I’ll post them. I may be too busy marking out!.

I will update this craps spreadsheet for our Reddit group: Craps Minimums - Google Sheets. If there is something you want to know, I’ll do my best to get those answers, take some pictures and keep it real!

Here we go! I’m looking forward to the eSports aspect since my kids missed out on that last week. Here’s hoping the dice are kind…

Following! Enjoy! I'm curious about the sports as well, since like you I'm a 40-year old who doesn't mind booting up LoL or DoTA or something in my spare time.

If you make it to DTG tell the crew I say hi and I'll be (hopefully) seeing them in a couple weeks. Also - its been a few months since I was last in town, but QQQQ and Binion's both had $5 craps in the mornings. Like me, you stay on EST in Vegas, so it was easy to find them - if you don't mind playing alone. Although Binion's didn't open their table till later in the day.

But I am definitely looking forward to following along.

Have a great time! Would appreciate if you can post in this thread itself about the minimums you are observing, as well as the time of day and place you observed them at.

Flight from Detroit was uneventful. Off the plane and quickly to baggage claim. Wait for shuttle to car rental was quick at 745pm. Car at Avis was ready with keys inside. In and out quickly.

Checkin at TI was extremely slow. Long line, 3 or 4 people didn’t have masks and checked in anyway.

Quick slice of pizza and getting ready for bed. 10pm PST is way past our bedtime. 0AC63ABA-8E91-4A6B-B630-17AE7FA23DF7.jpeg 2B7639EA-75B0-4279-9288-80205CA2215A.jpeg

    Today’s agenda:

Morning: play downtown. I’m playing at whatever place has the cheapest craps. Wife will be using her free play at numerous places.

Lunch at Coney Island or Saginaw.

Afternoon: back to TI to use her free play while I head to Casino Quest for their craps challenge. (Will link the YouTube link when it’s up).

Then we pack up and head to Delano. Dinner is unknown.

It’s not quite 9 yet. D craps $15 and completely empty. We parked at Fremont, $15 min 6 players.
Saw a few people at the D without masks, they refused to put one on and were escorted out.

Breakfast of champions, wife got the Egg and Cheese sandwich for the D coffee shop ($4) and I got a hot dog a Coney Island and we both got drinks ($11).

Wife is going to play her Britney machine at the D and I’m goi g to walk around looking for cheap tables.

I'm wondering if you'll see 10s once more tables open.

65B3E2C8-A4F3-4E19-8F3A-B429ED0B42F3.jpeg Played Sigma Derby for the first time. Lost 5 but enjoyed it. Played the single player bubble craps upstairs at the D and made 50. Heading to 4Q and Binions to see if their tables have opened.

Wow, that is insane. Even GG and GN? They were always good for 10 (even GN) in the mornings back in May.

Definitely interested to hear what QQQQ and DTG are upon opening.

Stop by El Cortez to check their minimums? Would be shocked if they’re above $10.

DTG was 10. Decided to go back to 4Q. Lost 280 at 4Q quickly on their table. Lost 45 at Binions. Wife won 300 on slots at 4Q and lost 200 at D and GG. Grabbing another coney dog and heading to TI for the wife to use her free play.

didn’t hit El Cortez. We stay there next week during the week. Will play there then.
