Hey, so I haven't been over for a long time and am due back next year.. been trolling you tube and the message board as I’m sure we all do while we can’t travel..

I don’t know why and wonder if I’m not the only one that has zero excitement for Resorts World and buzzing to get in and around Circa.

So I ask myself why?? I think it’s because Circa has that new and bit different feel compared to what’s on offer downtown and with resorts world is just another as the names says resort on the strip. Is it’s anything different to whats already on offer?? I’m not so sure. Where as Circa perhaps brings a feeling of glamour, excitement and freshness to downtown.

I know which one I will be visiting come 2022 and it’s starts with a C.

    Anyone else feel similar?

    Clem

I agree with you… I can’t wait to visit Circa… a little less so for Resorts World, though I do want to see what $4.5 Billion builds one these days!

I’ve watched YouTube videos on both and Circa’s just more my style I think.

Circa is in the middle of many other casinos.

Resorts World is all by itself meaning a specific trip to get there and leave.

Yeah, when Derek confirmed in the middle of last year that Circa was going to open in late October with everything except the hotel, I immediately booked airfare and my room at the D. But I'd been a downtown person for a decade by then, so for me it was largely really wanting to see a property that would be a game-changer downtown.

But even though I did not regret going out for the opening and I give high marks to the property, the visit just confirmed why I'm less interested in going to Vegas than I used to be. The mask wearing (not that I'm against the precaution, but to me they tend to be a buzzkill for a social casino environment) at the time didn't help, but they went away and will again once we get past the current Delta uptick. The high minimums also didn't, and unfortunately they aren't going to go away. And just my feeling that nowadays my Vegas trips can't just be monopolized by gambling.

I'm happy Resorts World finally opened, but it did it the middle of the summer when there's no NFL to occupy some of your time out there. Heck, I think the Golden Knights got eliminated the night it opened! But that said, it probably will be one of the first places I go to check out when I do go back, which hopefully will be sometime in the fall. I will probably stay downtown again, but what will help is RW's proximity to Wynncore, which is where I usually have the taxi drop me off when I do trek to the Strip from downtown. That makes it convenient. What's funny is that I have yet to go to the newer iterations of Sahara, whether it was SLS or the new Grand Sierra-owned place. Just a matter of convenience. Same with Virgin. Seems like a nice place, but I can't see myself taking a special trip there.

I'm with you on this. Honestly, I liked Circa but am not a Downtown person, so don't feel much of a need to go down there, but RW is a trek for me as well, and while it's cool, it's also not revolutionary. Circa has the distinction of being a Strip-level resort that's Downtown (which I know is not for everyone), and their sportsbook setups, both within the casino and up at Stadium Swim, are awesome. RW was perfectly fine, but it's not a place I'd go out of my way for at this point.

Visited both, though didn't stay in a room. I felt the rewards staff at Circa were warmer and more welcoming. In general thought Circa had a cozier feel than RW.

I'm not being flip in saying this - but part of the reason is that Derek Stevens is a MUCH better marketer. He created the hype for the Circa.

I'm staying comped at Circa for two nights this Friday. I was originally staying in an executive suite at MGM and decided to try my first trip downtown. I'm more excited for this trip than I have been for others in a long time. I'm not much of a sports fan, but am interested in seeing if the huge sports book provides a different atmosphere than strip casinos. Overhang bar looks like a nice video poker bar for breakfast beers even with the poor pay tables compared to the Vue Bar.

Circa is a more interesting and fun property than RW, and IMO it’s not even close.

I'm definitely going to try and get on their radar next trip, and see if I can migrate some of my trips back to Fremont.

I'm loathe to pay for a room, when I can get comped everywhere on the strip.

One of our VMB board members referred me to a host at Circa. I have never stayed Downtown before, and I can’t register for a Player One card as I’m outside of the USA. This didn’t stop me however as the host I contacted just took my current offers from Mlife properties for my upcoming trip, and has sorted out a comp room for the start of my rather long stay next month. If you want the details or introduction, please PM me.

Hi, that would be super, thanks very much.

I'm not sure when we'll get over from the UK, but does no harm to open a dialogue and hopefully set something up for when we are allowed into the US again :)

    Thanks again!

OK I’ll Send you a note later. I’d still hold out some hope for flights opening up in a month’s time. I really need my office out for the trade show in early October, and we’re all hoping that the infection rates will fall dramatically over that time.

Thanks, and hopefully with the speed this variant blasts through nations, we might see some better times soon :)

My group is really excited to explore Circa next week. I actually had to google “Resort World” to see what it was all about. I know our trip will be different than our past trips (longer wait for restaurants, higher table limits, etc). When talking with the sisters yesterday about our trip, we did casually discuss going to Resort World. However, it is not a top priority.

i will probably visit RW when I’m over on the strip next month, just to check out the banks of Buffalo slots I viewed from the countless YouTube videos. The rooms however don’t appear to be inspiring, and certainly not for that price. The Circa standard King rooms however look very spacious! So I’m looking forward to staying there for a couple of days. There’s also a restaurant in Circa called ‘8 East’ that has received really positive reviews, so I’d like to try that. I haven’t read any stand out comments from restaurants/eateries in RW, however many have cited that RW opened too early and Circa has had time to settle down.

For me it's because Circa is in the midst of another experience. So if staying at a place like Paris it's kind of a cool side trip to head to the Fremont area for awhile, walk around the experience, maybe get some Pizza Rock, drop into Circa (and other casinos in that area), head back to Paris. I see no draw at all to just visiting RW.

Not impressed with Circa at all. Only reason that I'm semi impressed with RW is that I walked out of there $40 ahead.

At RW I did take the advice of somebody here (??? thanks!) and parked in hotel parking instead of self parking.
