300 plus trips never been to Vegas in October.. Have a trip planned for Sept 14-20.. But 2 music festivals means ridiculous crowds. Looks like mid October will be the new date..Just need a little help with the weather! Thanks in advance.. All opinions and experiences welcomed..

Comme ci, comme ça. October is probably one of the better times -- not too hot (as in July), not too cold (as in January). The weather has been highly unpredictable lately, though.

Well that's disappointing. I'm scheduled 19th - 24th. Rescheduled from the previous week to avoid coming in during Raider game. My rooms were easy to come by so that surprises me that so much is going on. I'm at Gold Coast and South Point. Maybe no crowds there? I also have trip in October 18th - 22nd. Getting to be pain in the butt finding times that don't conflict with something. I've gone during Halloween a couple times and the weather was good.

Edit...ah, looks like I kind of miss them both. whew...

For probably 1-12 years, I made four or more trips a year covering all seasons with most being the warmer ones. These days though, I avoid the high temps. I make two trips a year, one in April and the other in October. For my money they are the best two weather months of the year.

We’ve been going around Halloween or a week earlier for years. It’s usually great weather. Days are in the 80-85 range. Nights cool off to 60-65. Just about perfect. Occasionally we’ve experienced some really windy days. Windy enough that the Bellagio Fountains are shut down. I remember one memorable night cruising up and down LVB at midnight with the top down.

It can be just about perfect. But sitting at the pool after a hot summer, 77 degrees and high winds can feel quite chilly.

My recollections of October seem to involve a lot of wind, shorter days, and the realization that for practical purposes the pool season is over.

Mid-October is the best time to go. The weather is perfect, you're smack-dab in the middle of College and NFL Football, MLB Playoffs, and King/Stone crab season starts October 15th.

Went the middle of last October. Weather was perfect. Warm enough for the pool. Not too hot.

We've been in Vegas in early November and while it was pleasant, it wasn't poolside weather. We are booked for October 10-15th. I'm expecting that the weather is pleasant enough that we can sit at the pool longer than 11-noon and not fry.

Last Halloween here (2020), the weather was mild. The year before, it was freezing. I would imagine it to be somewhere closer inbetween this year.

September is still perfect pool weather. Things become a little more unpredictable into October! Hard to say, it could end up being very sunny and hot or windy and chilly, especially at night. Bring layers!

It really depends a lot on what you're used to in October. You're not going to have typical fall weather. I'm from the northwest, and when I lived there I wore t-shirts and cargo shorts up until Christmas. At the same time one of my neighbors would walk around in 60 degree weather in his parka shivering. Dry, sunny and mild. Spring and fall are my favorite times there.
