August 2021 Roll Call

I had seen that, I am the weekend before so I will miss that. Hopefully they do another one before the end of the year. I have one more trip scheduled in December also at the Paris but I am always willing to grab a good promo if I can manage it!

 

Solo trip Aug 2 to Aug 7...staying at Wynn. I've been to Vegas 7 times but this is the first solo trip. Expect to also be spending time at Venetian, Cosmo and spots from Wynn down to Cosmo on the walk. No trip to downtown this time, although I'll be making a trip to Area 15 again.

 

Already have dinner reservations at 4pm and heading to the Tosh show afterward or else I would have liked to join.
Will monitor in case date/time changes.

 

Thanks Hogan! I'm going to "try" to do a semi-live trip report while there. I've never been to the nightclubs although they look gorgeous -- enjoy! I'm in my 40s and probably will need a nap to stay out past 1:00 a.m...seriously going to try this time though...lol. I miss a lot of the crazy Vegas stuff heading to bed so early.

 

I’m lowkey thinking of the Linq slot tournament cuz I placed and won $500 last time (I was in second place for the first two days so I’m sad I got knocked down). But probably not since I’m going the following week and trying the craps tournament at Planet Hollywood. If anyone needs a room, I’ll have an extra one I won’t be using. Would have to meet and ensure you’re trustworthy! I remember giving a room away to a random stranger and I was super hesitating, but he was super nice and polite and there were no issues when I called back after checkout

 

Our first trip back since COVID too coming from Ontario. We arrive Aug 5, leave on the 8th. Let us know if you get to Cosmo and we can meet for a drink

EDIT Looks like there are a few people in town. I am going to post a meet for Aug 6 @ Chandelier Bar Cosmo, 5:00 pm to see if that works for most.

 

How about a meet Aug 9/10 Orleans or on the strip and maybe between 2-5 PM ?

Tarain where do you fly out of in VA (ORF, RIC, ROA, DC area) ?

 

@Bernie2 I fly out of RIC. Flying JetBlue for first time as they have a nonstop flight there which sadly they are ending later this year.

 

Now booked at Sam's Town along with The Cal, 8/26 - 8/29. I might feel like avoiding the Fremont Street weekend crowds so double booked at Sam's Town. I'll decide when it gets closer. Plus I've never been to Sam's Town so why not.

 

Tarain, thanks for the response Jet Blue is one very well run carrier. Surprised that they also don't fly out of ORF as that is a bigger market than RIC. I'm sure they are looking at it.

 

Jet Blue is weird, my friends mom works there so she flies free all over. I looked into using them but they dont go direct to any places I visit...

what was really weird is that to go to vegas from New Orleans on Jet Blue, I have to go to North Carolina then from there to Vegas...But if I wanted to go NOLA to NC, I have to fly to NY first then back to NC

Cosmo 8-4 to 8-8....can't wait....last trip was 7-2019...then the !@#%$^&* hit the fan....
