The quirkiest show on grass is here. Can't wait.

Does Phil have enough oxygen left to go 72 after his STFUfest in Montana?
Can Bryson keep it in Kent?
Will Koepka or Reed top the snarky American chart in the tabs?
He's still winning tourneys, but where is Rory in the majors?
How many holes does Poulter get in before a total meltdown?

on youtube, Golf Digest has a tour / fly over of the holes for RSG. looks like a tough course, should be fun to watch the strategies - whether they use long irons to keep in the fairways, or bomb it and take on the pot bunkers further down. looks like a lot of steep pot bunkers are very strategically placed to thwart the long bomber types

I guess the course was originally much tougher with more blind shots and steeper dunes, but they softened the course some during the 1981 redesign

I put in a small bet on Xandar Schauffele at 18-1.

The weather is looking pretty nice for the tournament.... Couldn't the golf gods give us at least one day of rain and wind?

Two weeks I look forward to watching. The Masters is a favorite for the manicured fairways, the color dyed water and for a few days I'm not Ric, but a patron. Seriously, I love watching the Masters.
The Open is in a different class or at least, category. It's a different style of golf played on a different type of course, which makes it interesting. The vengeful person in me looks forward to the bad weather. Playing in the rains of Seattle for years, there's some solace in watching others suffer too!. Just kidding, but the weather adds the final touch.

Here are the five guys I'd like to see win the Open:

    Westwood
    Westwood
    Westwood
    Westwood
Anyone but Mickelson and if that's Westwood even better

Yeah, but if Phil won, you'll only have to hear about it for 4-5 years!
I'd love to see Westwood win. He's had a good year, not to mention his career record over there.
Beyond that, this is the one tournament that I don't really care who wins. I just enjoy watching it.

I follow a professional on Facebook,Rick Shiels,he said N.W.Lee is the best golfer he has played with. It's worth checking out his videos either on Facebook or you tube.

I have a feeling for my boy MacKenzie. After that ball in the tree episode a couple weeks ago, he got some kinda fire in his belly! Member at my former club!

tearing up the course in the morning rounds. Course looked tough from the flyover views. Maybe the weather needs to turn nasty to give the course some more defense......

So far, if you can leave it in the fairway or first cut, you're fine. Sounds obvious, but we all know weather could change that. Conditions look benign through the rest of the tournament, so if you stay out of the tall stuff, you can probably score. Still hoping for wind and rain though.
